Been thinking about @kevos37 for a few days now. His family is safe but everything else burned in the Paradise Camp Fire. Kevo, please let us know if there’s anything we can help with. I didn’t forget seeing your kind offer to fix @jvincig01 ’s running boards. What you did speaks volumes.

For anyone who’d like to donate funds to Kevo’s family here’s a link €—> https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/kevos37-support-thread.1104147/

Sprayed some epoxy primer then single stage Cygnus white. Last time I shot the PPG Omni Cygnus, it was a bit green to my eye. So I experimented with adding some Lily White. Ended up using 4 parts Cygnus to 1 part Lily.

The paint exposed to the engine bay was blistered, almost like it had witnessed an engine fire. Figured now is the time to scrape it and paint

Like the look of body color mirrors, so they got scuffed and shot

Had somehow missed this build. Very nice! Amazing what the naval jelly has done for the panels. This is giving me an itch to sell my current 40 and find a fixer upper...

Finally got Cruiserjunktion's fender mounted

Needed to save the rubber pad and my lungs. So I sliced the carriage bolt.

Been awhile since I've made improvements to the 71. The old fuse panel was too close to the hand throttle bracket for my liking. Cut and bent a relocation plate. Will paint it white someday:) Ended up using a NOS fuse box I've been hoarding. Also bent the accelerator pedal a bit lower and to the left. Right side of pedal was contacting tranny hump. Adjusted the Pedal and throttle cable so just as pedal meets metal, butterflies are exactly WOT.

Nice work. Has the loctite naval jelly affected the paint at all? I have used several rust converter products on some spots. They always leave the paint stained. That doesn’t seem to be the case in the photos that you posted above

Hole in engine lift hook=like!!

#IMAGONNADOTHATTOO

It seems like almost any spot is better than the one the factory picked.o_O

Have practically marinated OEM cygnus parts in Naval Jelly, no staining noted. I buy the "dissolver", but did accidentally grab a jar of "converter" one time. Labels looks almost identical. Have used both Loctite and Permatex branded dissolver, both work great.
