South Florida wheeling? You know I'm always down for a Starbucks run!

So you still havent washed it.. Wifey must have not seen the battle wounds in the front since your still driving it.

Wait...what?!?!

Yep, A/C is the way to go. People are like wow A/C, nice!!!! I look at it as Marriott accomadations in the middle of nowhere.

You still have a line on those outlets? I'd like a set...

Yes I will start up the GB again on Tuesday!! It will be in the Vendors Market -> Small Business -> Merchandise Storefront section of MUD.

Its been a while since I updated my build thread. So for this installment, I will be building my rear storage solution. I have been on the fence for a while on ordering an outback storage solution. I even went ahead and ordered but there was a backorder and well I got tired of waiting and bought something else instead. So on mud there is a storage solution that I liked the most. 1407driver 100 series build thread, his storage solution became TrekBoxx and I followed their designs. Not being able to front $2000+ for his awesome storage solution, I decided to build my economy version.

Here were my requirements for my build.
  • Hide Subwoofer box
  • Have a nice size drawer
  • have a fridge slide
  • have a small drawer as a table top

I used 3/4 birch plywood.

Ordered 500lb drawer slides from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009ODZN6/?tag=ihco-20

Keep in mind, this is the second time I attempt to build a storage solution. My woodworking skills are at beginner level.

For the latches used, I ordered a Southco latch for the right drawer and a pull handle with spring for the left drawer.

For the other drawers, I used 200lb slides for the right drawer and 100lb slides for the inner drawer.

As for the paint on the drawers. I wanted to keep it as economical as possible so I went to home depot and bought a quart of rustoleum black to cover the entire box. Then I purchased a Restore 4x paint they sell at HomeDepot.

I wanted a finish that wasnt too thick but will also protect my surfaces. I used the Restore 4x on all surfaces that will see use, the top of the cabinet and all the drawer bottoms. In the picture you can see the texture of it. Very similar to the monstaliner. There is also a thicker one called Restore 10x if you want to go thicker.

Here is the finished product. Sorry for the crappy night pictures. I still have some minor tweaking to do and retouching. But overall I am very happy with the way it turned out. Very useful.

I will post up some pics today with the fridge on it and as well as the new Attic setup..

Saw a thread on here about creating an "attic" style shelf in the rig. Went to the container store and purchased one of these its 18"x48" and it has 1" lip all around. Great for keeping things in place.

Here is the rig all loaded up for a day out in the state parks.

I love the rear led bar I installed in the rear hatch. Best $20bux ever.

This thing is incredible! Well done.

Why did you take the plastidip off your wheels?

Fat fingered from my iPhone 5s

Wanted to change the look. Though I purchased some gun metal gray plastidip which is on the list of project along with the powerstop rotors.

Well its time for a long overdue update to my build thread!!

PUMA Air Compressor

I purchased the PUMA Air compressor for my rig along with LandCruiser Phil's Puma Mount and wiring. At first thought the compressor is portable not to bulky and quiet when it runs. The mount LandCruiserPhil sells is perfect and works great with any type of rear storage. It goes over the DS wheel well and it doesnt interfere with the side wall of my storage system, all I had to do was cut the side wing down to fit the compressor. It worked out perfectly. I wired it using an anderson plug and some 4ga cable. I connected up to my central distribution point in the cab and wired it back to my rear storage box. I added a Negative junction block as well as a postive 60amp inline fuse.

Installed a new 1000w inverter, the old 800w inverter I had stopped working so I upgraded it with this one. Came out pretty cool
