Most of the ones I've seen are more than that and most people seem to buy the whole car to get one. I'd keep it quiet

Crikey........that is one very handsome looking truck. I had a turbo timer installed on my 12h-t. It was set for around 2 minutes from memory. So the engine ran for 2 minutes after the car was turned off and the key was removed. Apparently, it enabled the turbo to cool down a bit before shutting down completely. Cheers, Ben

Thanks Ben! Turbo timer? I've not heard of that before. I'm still new to the diesel community. Maybe that is why it would not shutdown immediately every time.

no, pulled by a cruiser head to make way for a 1hdt-fte. fanatical on his servicing. it's, well just there when I need it

also cheak for the turbo timer legality for where you are.

The engine was imported from the Neatherlands. So there I'm not sure how it may have been setup. Also here in the US we don't have any regulations that would govern such a device that I'm aware of.

There is no turbotimer or anything like it on the engine. I usually just waited before shutting it off. Coming off the freeway after a longish drive i just get my stuff out of the truck and shut it off when i'm done. Shorter drives i just wait a minute or so.

Could there be a vacuum leak somewhere in the shutoff system that causes it to run on after the ignition is turned off?

Well mate that's an interesting story. My body man was test fitting the snorkel and thought those top louvers would rub the back of it. So he took it upon him self to remove them. When I noticed it I had him put a flat plate back its in place.

I installed the wiper system and wiring. Then I installed the windshield.
