Indeed Cult. It will probably be 3" also. Today I did not get as much done as I had planned. I took a little trip with Roma this morning so I didn't spend a lot of time in the garage. I did get the alternators swapped. This involved having to bead blast and paint all of the brackets from the 2H that were being transferred to the 12HT. Then most of the holes on the 12HT had have a tap run through them since they had never been used before. I also swapped vacuum pumps between the alternators as well. But I'm pleased with the end result.

Hey Cult that sounds awesome! Thanks for posting it up.

On different note I need an accelerator cable to use on this new engine. Any suggestions?

Would a 2H one work?

I don't know if a stock 2H cable would work as I don't know what it looks like. I was using an AUS spec 2F cable on my 2H after I deleted the Edic and that has a different cable end from the 12HT. Can you send a picture of the engine end of the 2H cable?

Looks good!
What i did for a throttle cable is instead of the "ball" on the fuel pump i welded a regular cable thingy on the arm and ran the 3B cable which is in my truck. I used a "half moon" throttle cable hookup from some kind of car at the junkyard. I swapped it back for the original on your 12ht. It slipped my mind that you need to fab something up too...
Let me see if i can find an example

Here's one that looks similar to what i used. In fact, it might be the exact one.

That's very similar to what I used on the 2H Mark. You don't happen to have a picture of the set up installed do you?

Unfortunately not. And the one i made now resides in Germany on the spare 12ht i had....

Today was predictably slower. I installed the alternator belt, flipped the thermostat housing from left to right, wired the starter, hooked up both fuel lines, installed the clutch slave cylinder and installed the radiator.

The short list to starting it is, 12v VSV (plus wiring), heater hoses, accelerator cable, exhaust and battery.

Gentlemen,
As those of you who are familiar with 12HT's will remember it has 3 heater hose connections, because they are normally installed in 60 series vehicles. How do you plumb these into a 40/45 series vehicle that only has 2 heater hose connections?

What's the third one for? Haven't seen many rear heat ones down here. You could always tee it out and loop it back on itself.

Cult,
All US model 60 series have rear heaters and apparently European models as well. I assume your 12HT only has one hard heater line running across the top of it?

Oh s*** haha, that 60 ain't mine. I don't even have a 12H-T! Just found a grunty vid on YT for ya to get excited by.

I used a plug on the one outlet in the head above the waterpump and used the two on the back of the head to run the heater
