How solid is the fender?

Ken,
Checking out this pic of the fender, I noticed your fender is lifted up, and you're only using 2 bolt holes to hold it in place. Do you have additional, non-stock fender support elsewhere? If not, how stable is your fender? I need to do a 1-2" body lift in order to clear my new drive train and was contemplating how to deal with the fenders. I was planning on welding on a 2" strip of plate to the bottom and drilling holes to accomodate.

i welded a piece of angle to the top of the frame and drilled the top holes and bolted them it was not done at the time of picture. but they are pretty strong the way they are.

well i am finishing the misc stuff this weekend then the wiring he he he. i will post more pictures over the weekend so stay tuned for more thanks

well tonight i did the fuel filler gee that was fun ha ha. mounted the other bump stop they are all done he he he. tomorrow i get to see whats wrong with the brakes and finish them. now it well be on wheels again and that much closer to wiring crap oh no

my neighbor keeps doing that to me as a joke ha ha ha he thinks i can get 45 for it and i keep telling him hes nuts so hes trying to prove it. your not the only one whos seen an ad about it oh well

hi there today was a good day. i got the brake problem figured out yeah to me. the pin that moves back and fourth inside the booster had a burr on it so the pin was not going in all the way so it was pushing on the master and applying the brakes. took the booster apart and found the problem and fixed it. all back together again now it works right yeah for me. now i can install the lokar shifter tomorrow when it shows up and do the twin sticks and i will be that much closer to being done yeah to me.

Lucky you....wish me luck this weekend.

got the winch on today and the brakes work primo ha ha ha now i can stop. yeah. now the hood does not line up with the bib so i need to do some tweeking fun fun. but getting there. now i am waiting for the led display for the gear shifter from lokar should be here on friday then i can shift gears yeah for me. at least now i can see an end in sight yeah for me pictures comming soon

hi again went to put the hood on and when i attached the hinges the hood hangs over the bib about a half an inch oooppppssss. i guess i should of check it sooner with the hinges because when it is lying there it fits nice but the hinges move it out to far:bang::bang::doh: i guess its time to loosen everything and pull the front out and space it hope it works and still looks good always something. is this ever going to be easy:eek:

Would you mind posting a pic of how the aluminum radiator mounts to the frame? I Don't exactly want to buy an expensive kit and would like to see how it is done. Who makes what you bought?
Thanks

Thanks for the link. You wouldn't know what the lengthxwidthxheight measurements are, do you? I will be trying to piece/build something like that for quite a bit cheaper than what they want for it.
Thanks again

hi again i am not at home to get the measurements right now but when i get there i can sent you a pm but that will be in about 4 weeks. let me know if that helps

hi again work is going slowly oh well today i mounted the twin sticks and wrench. also a picture of the rear breather

hi again took the twin sticks out so they can be powderkoted and put back. shifter was a bitch cable just would not go in without binding after two hours and no instructions it finally got done ha ha ha kicked its ass. also had a problem with the hood and bib and fenders lining up. well two days of screwing with it i finally got it to line up ha ha ha kicked its ass

Im going to have to keep my eyes peeled for it once you get it on the road. Im down by 78th and Fruitvalley. I love to hotrod look to the engine bay...it will almost be sad to get it dirty but then again s**t happens :meh:

well we started the wiring a couple of days ago. going ok i guess. got the wires ran to where they need to be i hope, time will tell. got the twin sticks powderkoted and put back and got the shifter installed. i got the electronics for the lokar to tell what gear you are in what a joke. it looks like a lot of crap that could be easier oh well i guess i will see how bad it is but looks easy to put in but overkill. o0h yeah mach if you want to come by and check it out i am in la center wa let me know. i will post a few more pictures in a couple of days. so for now stay turned. have a nice day
