I'll be installing a heater and fan into the FJ45LV though it never had one. I'm aiming for the period correct heater and found one from a '72 FJ40. I already have a newer one. Do they both use the same bolt hole centers? Can someone with an older truck measure where the heater bolts should be in relation say to the tranny hump? I'll need to weld on some nuts to be able to install the heater and that will be easiest before the body is back on for good.

Charles, I can check on friday if no one else can give the answer Paul

Charles, here's a pic of the 3 different versions that I have, left one is mid 60's, middle one is late 60's thru early 70's, and the right one is from the mid 70's +

The early one uses a different pattern on the driver side, the 2 later ones use the same bolt pattern

Does the LV have defrost vents?

Man it must be nice having three different types of heater just sitting around.... :)

I can tell you that the blower motor bolts mount differently on earlier and later models. So you got that going for you....

I think I have the center one coming and I have a newer one in the shop.

As for defrost vents, you mean below the windsheild? In that case, yes.

Can you elaborate? I'll need to figure out mounting for the blower as well as this truck never had one.

Not in the least! It's like heaven!

I'll post up more on this this afternoon. As you can guess, my HJ-45 never had a heater either (Honduras). So I've just now collected all the factory bits to bolt it all on, so I'll get some good pics for you when I'm up at the shop today. You might want to see if Gene could cut some bits of the firewall off of the old 35LV for you, if he's parting all that.

I'll post more later though...

I hope so! I need the fan mount as well as the intake grille area.
