I don't know why you are thinking BMW...... turbo Lq9 6.0 swap is your answer. It has already been done and I am sure that would give you more power than a 4.4 v8Does this makes sense? If I’m trying to chirp all four wheels in first.... also automatic to manual opinions ?

I am crazywhy not just LS swap? Cheaper, easier to source, and has been done by a bunch of folks here who can likely offer assistance.
Ive never heard of it being done before, and since im doing everything myself..... might as well “ kid in the candy store” this mf som bitch!!!!!I don't know why you are thinking BMW...... turbo Lq9 6.0 swap is your answer. Rebuilding everything, but your prob right...Just ls swap and turbo. It’s gonna take ALOT of power to chirp all 4 tires on a heavy ass 80. I suspect you’ll be finding weak links for years with that kind of power.
Sport car /fj80 mashup, 22 rims and low profile tires and loweredSounds like a fun project. Just keep in mind BMW gets their power by RPM's, a 4.4l V8 is not a torque machine. Stock size tires, it would probably rip pretty good though.
Yessssss there is no shortage of boring expo rigs on 33s here. Please do this. Slam it!Sport car /fj80 mashup, 22 rims and low profile tires and lowered

DO IT! BMW is known for reliable, simple to diagnose and fix engines, with no special tools needed. Plus parts are easily found at most local / trail side auto parts stores. NO brainier!
