Does this makes sense? If I’m trying to chirp all four wheels in first.... also automatic to manual opinions ?

Sacrilege. Don't put a Bimmer motor in an 80. That's just my opinion.

I don't know why you are thinking BMW...... turbo Lq9 6.0 swap is your answer. It has already been done and I am sure that would give you more power than a 4.4 v8

Ive never heard of it being done before, and since im doing everything myself..... might as well “ kid in the candy store” this mf som bitch!!!!!

Sounds like a fun project. Just keep in mind BMW gets their power by RPM's, a 4.4l V8 is not a torque machine. Stock size tires, it would probably rip pretty good though.

Sport car /fj80 mashup, 22 rims and low profile tires and lowered
Yessssss there is no shortage of boring expo rigs on 33s here. Please do this. Slam it!

It's your money and time,. Go for it. I think it is the worst of both worlds, but my opinion is just my opinion. Yours is the only one that matters.

no idea why you'd want to pioneer a BMW swap - it's not a great motor to start with, and certainly not up to the stated goal..... if you want to achieve that and do something different try swapping in a G55 / G63 motor / drivetrain......

IF you ditch the Auto trans for a manual, swap in a powerful engine, rev it up and dump the clutch....then yes you can probably 'chirp all four tires' (once anyway).

Hope you have deep pockets and a pioneering spirit if you go the BMW route though. It wouldn't be my first (2nd, 3rd......) pick though.

DO IT! BMW is known for reliable, simple to diagnose and fix engines, with no special tools needed. Plus parts are easily found at most local / trail side auto parts stores. NO brainier!

You missed something, parts are soooooo inexpensive ! Agree, total no brainer......
