I'd say F&R lockers. Saved my back (or my friend's back) from stacking rocks countless times!

I would say the most satisfying thing would be to transfer its title into my name....for $29K with 43K miles when the loan value was $36K.

1. VAIS SL3B Bluetooth integration.
2. BFG A/T KO2 x5
3. Leatherique

Would add HID conversion, but all the parts are sitting in my garage awaiting install.

That's a question that the answer you give will change on a daily basis due to what you are doing with the vehicle at that time!
Once I expanded my Gamiviti rack it pretty much moved it to #1 or very close to it (if the subject of the day is moving/carrying something)
My iPhone charging/syncing plug is there too because no one can live without music! At least i can't.
Tires are a must and I do love my Terra Grapplers, they proved to me they are awesome!
The list can go on and on…...

Installed locking hubs and converted the transfer case to part time in August. Just finished up replacing the timing belt and water pump ... and everything works like it 'sposed to.
I am new to the forum. I had a friend give me a 1999 LC, I did give him $200 for scrap value. He had been messed with by a dealer and he had it towed home with a box of parts. It had sat for a year and he was tired of looking at it so now it is in my shop. It is in good condition but it has 272k miles so I am getting it road worthy again. I just got it running again and I am finishing up replacing the brakes. My wife and I owned a '04 and it was a fantastic vehicle except for the gas. I would like to put locking hubs on the front so I need some help with finding the correct parts if they are available and with dealing with the electronics.

Most satisfying: Replaced the rear propeller shaft. Got rid of those "clunks".

:-)

I think I like the mods that I use most... Bluetooth radio, Fridge / Slide / Battery, window tint, 285 E rate tires, delete running boards.

Currently on top:
Replacing the HU
Installing Webasto heater w cell-phone remote
Shading the passenger side map light
Yokohama Geolandar I/T-s snow tires - makes it sure-footed on winter roads

Quoted from Ponytl's original post

"It drives really well... we take it over the wifes LX470 about every time we head out the door (mine is cleaner and alwaysfull of gas (another story) "

This is so true, had me laughing out loud. I frequently hop in my wife's cruiser to the empty warning light. She recently had to use my cruiser, because her truck was almost out of gas, and to her dismay, my warning light was on as well! But at least my truck was cleaner!

Most satisfying thing- anytime I get in over my head on a repair, ie new starter, completely tearing apart the front end and rebuilding - I put it back together and it runs, beautifully! The truck makes me look like I half know what I'm doing.

Still have to lube it. My other one clunked whether I lubed it or not.

OEM or something else? I'm investigating the same for my '06. The thunk / clunk is annoying.

So what's the purpose of replacing it if you keep Lubing it? What was the satisfaction you got out of it?

I read somewhere that someone took it out, cleaned it, fresh grease and never had the clunk since!!

It has to be the 285/75 r16 Duratrac's they create the baseline traction to take the LC where few will dare to go.

That said, the sliders and armor keep me going when I miss the line. Each modification takes me one step closer toward my own vision of the capabilities I want to drive the remote areas and come home again.
