Good day! I am replacing my LSEAT leathers. They have started disintegrating 4 years after I put them on. Extremely unhappy with the leather durability.

From many forum searches, it appears as far as leather quality/durability, the two I should look at are:

Mosley - LX450 Leather Upholstery — MOSLEY MOTORS - https://www.mosleymotors.com/leatherinteriors/lx450

Land Cruiser Heaven - Land Cruiser Heaven Lexus LX450 Leather Seat Covers - https://store.landcruiserheaven.com/land-cruiser-heaven-lexus-lx450-leather-seat-covers/

I've read several reviews from the 2022-ish? era with complaints about shipping time and communication from LCH, but no complaints on the long term durability or quality of the leather product.

Both products appear to be good. Both appear to have option to match the LX450 colouring well. Both products are very close in price, if you include the centre console and arm rests.

Thoughts? I just do not want a repeat of my LSEAT experience - looks good at first, within a couple years they're falling apart. It was a PITA to replace it myself and I DO NOT want to do it a 3rd time in a couple years!

My LSEATs 2023: NOTE: passenger seat gets about 10 percent of the traffic and STILL look at it! :(

Interesting. I've had my LSeat leathers on my middle row for almost 6 years and they've held up very well to lots of traffic including dogs. Not a single tear. That sucks that yours disintegrated like that. I'd be very disappoint as well, but fortunately mine haven't done that.

FWIW, I've heard good things about both the Mosley and the LCH leather but do not have personal experience with either. I think either choice should do well.

Your Lseat experience has been much worse than mine. I installed Lseat in just the front two and within three years I started seeing cracks in the leather. Now they look pretty worn and awful. Lesson learned.

BTW, I'm interested in feedback from others as well since I will be replacing my front two seats again shortly.

I had my LSeat installed in 2015 and both fronts show wear and the driver's side is torn in 2 spots.
You get what you pay for. LSeat was the cheapest option at the time, so I won't cry about getting 9 years of daily use out of them.
Might even get them again depending on price.

Does anyone have first hand experience with Mosley leather for our trucks? 🍺
Someone did a detailed write up including the heated/cooled option. Don’t remember what user though.

I bought the LCH seats back when he first started. Quality has been fine but it did take a long time to get them. They were a pretty tight fit. I also have seen here on Mud that the LCH seats now have his company name tag sewn into the side of the seat at one of the seams which I am not a fan of. @jcardona1 had his seats done by Roadwire and they look great. It looks like he mentioned they were aquired by Katskin but it may be worth looking into. We put Mosley kit in rig we did a lot of work to, they were great. My understanding is he no longer offers those kits though unfortunately (was great to work with), but maybe that has changed in the last couple years.

I had a Mosley kit installed in my 40th in 2019-ish? Great customer service from Mosley vs. LCH reviews. My local leather installer raved about the quality and ended up ordering direct from them for a few other clients. 7-ish years later mine look great with only a couple of small concerns.

Roadwire was the supplier for Mosley. Same leather, just more expensive and without installation. Not sure where he's sourcing it from now that Roadwire is no more.

I am a little anxious on this topic as we are probably a month or so away from sending our '94 to LCH in Hagerstown for an interior refresh..... What I saw physically in a visit last spring was first class. They had about 6 in various states of work.

Does Mosley Motors have an account on 'mud? I've sent two emails and a text and haven't heard back from them.

Anyone aware of a leather/heater seat kit for 2024? With so many hit and miss reviews I am seeing for Mosley and Lseat I'm tempted to replace the cushions, install heat and just put my Escape Gear covers back on.

I would be pretty frustrated dropping over $2k and a few years later rips appear.

I got a little antsy about seat heaters for our 80. My alternator is 80-amps and somewhere here I saw an analysis of power draw up at just over 55 amps. From that, I concluded 2 5-10 amp seat heaters were perhaps not a hot idea.

Ahh, thanks I'll dig deeper into this before I go that route.

I am really happy with the escape gear covers, I'm tempted to just replace the cushions and run the covers, done & done.

I am watching the seat threads as new seats are sort of the last part of my project.
Everyone I know with sheelman seats seems to be happy, I was kind of thinking sticking with factory, but a little more comfortable than my rock hard cushion seats.

What other seat brands are you looking at
