No idea!!

2008 200 series purchased new, installing at year 12, no OEM anything and so thankful for this thread. Dealer ordered part, it looks like I can install myself in about 5 minutes vs sitting here at dealer for 2 hours showing them forum threads to explain what to do :)

Thanks to everyone for the info, it helped a lot!
I found myself in the same boat with our new-to-us 2013.
Ordered an 82169-60080 from ToyotaPartsDeal for $145.10 plus $11.07 shipping, no tax.
I hope the plugs come out easily.

FWIW: they don’t come Installed on the vehicle from factory or port. They are inside the vehicle in a bag; it’s the technicians job to install it when PDI’ing (pre-delivery inspection) the vehicle. It takes about one minute to install. 1-clip, 2-screws. If it’s missing, your dealer missed it during the PDI and should ultimately be responsible, but good lunch with them even knowing what your talking about.

Just to follow up. The 82169-60080 install was a breeze. I kept the plug caps and put plenty of grease on the supplied bolts so I can remove it easily for wheeling. Just pulled a loaded tandem-axle (hydraulic brakes) 6x12 900 miles. I am very happy with the handling. The gas mileage was 11-13mpg highway depending on the hills. Without the trailer, it usually gets 17-20 depending on the hills and speed.

This is only a concern if the spare has been removed....otherwise the tire sits lower than the plug.
Rocks and ledges can still grab it with the spare in place.. even a slightly wider/lower one than stock. Mine is proof.

I didn't realize how exposed it was on my first mild trail with the 200 and killed it. Definitely glad I didn't have the trailer on that trip. I still have the old mangled one, was kinda kicking around the idea of trying to figure out a lower profile solution.

Yep, I forgot to remove it before going down Mineral Creek to Ouray. It was pretty mangled but still functioning. It now has a thick wrapper of Gorilla tape and is tie-wrapped high next to the deck. Guess I need to do something about that someday ...
