A little bit of negative press in recent weeks about the LC200 head gasket/engine block design but we don't hear much about those that have served us well. Check in with your current mileage if you have a LC200 with over 200,000 miles.

Mine just crossed 150,000 and maintaining it like mad.

My old 08 had 208k on it when I sold it to the next owner. It was so well maintained, I'm sure it has 200 more in it at least.

Only issue I had was radiator and did the water pump. No valley issues.

I'll timidly add that my 18 only has 60k...

But my 13 had 118k with no major needs.

2016 97K should be at 100K in next 4 to 5 weeks. Bought it used in 2018 with 14.4K on it. Zero engine issues. Did do TSB on trans and I had leaking rack and pinion that was replaced under warranty. Brakes at around 50k, diff and transfer case fluids at 75k. Going to do coolant, trans, power steering, brakes and brake fluid at 100K. I change oil and oil filter every 5k (i just switched at 95K to 5w30) and rotate tires front to back. I replace in-cabin and air filter every 25k or sooner if they seem dirty. Still on factory battery keep wondering when that is going to fail.

Earlier this month rode my adventure bike to south MS from ATL to grab a 2009 LX570 (276634)miles
no a bit of rust im the 2nd owner literally nothing wrong with it... except replaced transmission on the 25th of july.
new trans has 55k miles....
So I order fresh AMS for the oil change.
should I do the full flush on the trans for piece of mind?

I did (uhaul) trailer a R1250GSA back same day I bought it and aside from what looks to be 2 small valve cover leaks like real small and the tick from what i have read is normally heard in the 5.7 i cant seem to find any concerns thus far. oh and the MD's wife who drove it since 2009 never used the 4lo but after playing with it and the AHC repeatedly they both working now flawlessly.

am i lucky or is the shoe ganna drop?

tell me what should I look into and at.

Joining the high mile club here...

2013
32k miles
0 issues

Regular oil changes and that's about it thus far. Will be servicing the diffs and proactively replacing the radiator/coolant flush over the next few weeks.

Sounds like an awesome road trip! I have a 200 series and my other ride is a R1200GSA. You have good taste in vehicles.

2008 owned for the past 7 years, I'm the third owner.
Bought with 202k miles
Currently 282k miles
Some wear parts replaced along with regular maintenance, but no major issues.

2008 LC, 305k miles, bought used at 65k miles. Just replaced original power steering pump. A couple tire pressure sensors dead, will replace all of them when I need new tires.

Of note is I replaced the radiator at 100k or so and wasn’t on top of it so the replacement radiator is the same original design. Not sure if the new radiator design was out when I replaced. Been watching for the crack to form and no signs of it since install.

Valley plate leak so I’ve been turning over my coolant. 😏
