Thanks MT! Missing DS slider resurfaced at my door today. Not sure how the tracker sticker got ripped off because they're on there pretty good!
Glad to hear it!

I received my hardware yesterday and the slider came together via UPS today. I couldn't be happier. Thank you Metaltech!
You are welcome! Thank you for your order and glad to hear UPS got it all to you!

Got mine yesterday. A month early. Real purty! Thanks MT4x4!

Hi everyone, just want to confirm something - I see a gap after putting one of the sliders, in-between the slider and the frame. Is that expected? Other pictures make it seem more flush. Wondering if I am doing something wrong or its expected.

Cool! I love the sliders, thank you!

You want the gap between the slider and the *body (that’s not the frame) because the body flexes on the frame while off-roading. If you came down hard on a rock, the slider could be pushed up and damage the body if it’s flush. You want those gaps to prevent that from happening so that the sliders can do their job of protecting the body from damage.

I just went outside tonight to get something out of my car and I checked. The gap between my sliders and the body is about a finger width or just a hair more. I think what Forger put above makes sense about flexing.

The same concept applies to the gap between the body and other pieces of armor such as front or rear bumpers. The body will torque and anything attached to the frame that is very close to the body will come in contact with the body and damage it; defeating the purpose of armor like this. If you don't offroad then maybe you could get away with it, but I see those sliders moving at least 1/8-1/4" if you came down on a rock.

I went with a Mud finish on mine, looks about right.

Definitely wasn't expecting them to show up over a month ahead of schedule, but nonetheless had them show up at my door last week! Prepped, painted with the VHT Epoxy paint (incredible stuff btw, great recommendation), and mounted it all up.

Truck is really starting to come along thanks to @MT4x4! Now time for paint... Raptor Liner anyone?

Do your sliders have a much tighter tolerance at the front of the body than the rear? There's about a finger-width gap in the back, and a hair-width gap in front. When I go over bumps I can feel the sliders hitting the body. That said, I have everything lined up straight, I think? Did you adjust accordingly to have a consistent gap?

Awesome, glad you like them! Thank you!

UPS officially lost my drivers side. Metal Tech stepped up and has already sent out a replacement that should be here Friday. BIG thank you to Chris and the Metal Tech team for taking care of the customer in light of UPS' snafu.
Can't wait!

Metal Tech quickly sent me a replacement too. Great customer service from them. Thanks again!

Thanks for all your patience with this UPS issue. Our UPS rep has been useless and non communicative with us on this issue. So we have been just sending out replacements as fast as we can squeeze them out of production. I love seeing pics of everyones trucks with them on! We hope everyone can get them before Hundreds In The Hills! :)
