OK, been chatting with the BOD and taking notes here too. Got a list of
known events and possible options for 2010. The known events are not necessarily UC events, but just to show you what nearby clubs are up to and that we've been invited to join them.

February
MM & Pool tourney at Barley’s in Greenville Feb 6th.
Wheeling Options:
ACC’s event at Coal Creek Feb 20-21
Grand Slam South East ride
Durhamtown with LcLC Feb 19-21 www.durhamtown.com
My suggestion in place of Durhamtown is:
River Rock in Milledgeville, GA It's just about the same driving distance and I've heard the trails are better. I don't think anyone in our group has been before, so it would be something new.

March
MM at Ralph Hayes Toyota March 6th.
Wheeling Plan:
Gulches with ONSC March 20-21
April
MM options still open…
We did one at 3pits/Bob Adamson’s Bob’s Small Town Grill in Royston, GA last February and had a pretty good turnout.
John Lee suggests: A&P. AGreekBoy’s restaurant in Greer.
Wheeling Options:
The Farm
The Farm Don't know much about it, but could be fun.
Beasley Knob - Best to go before it gets too hot up there. Trails are best after a light shower to cut down on the dust, but trails will close down if rain has been heavy.
Pickens??
From David Davis (I suppose this could take place any available month):
My thought was to meet at Caesar's Head parking lot, then head to DuPont State Forest, hike in and see triple falls. Then, back to the caravan and head over to Pisgah, stopping at Looking Glass Falls. Continue the caravan by hopping on Yellow Gap Rd. (FS gravel) at Pink Beds, then to Wash Creek, then down 479 to Bent Creek. Perhaps lunch at the "Moose Cafe" at the Farmer's Market. Then some highway miles over to Hot Springs, camping at the private campground there that has showers (hot tubs across the street). That night, we could sit around a camp fire or walk over to a bar.
Next day, get up and either head home or for the network of FS roads around Paint Rock and into the Cherokee National Forest. There is a great FS firetower at Holsten Mountain with some spectacular views. Really can help put the world in perspective.
This would be a "not even a scratch" type of ride, with the major hassle being single lane FS roads and getting oncoming traffic past us.
May
MM options still open
