I need to learn to drive to your place more often.
You really have me thinking about yacking the Cummins out.

Someday, some how, somebody will remember The freaking chainsaw too.

The daughter graduates Marines basic training next week (major proud dad moment!!!!) so we will be going to see that! After that, we can chat and see if that works for you to look at the motorhome for cabinets, if so, I will run it down and remember the chainsaw this time!! lol.

The lady friend wants to go camping before the snow flies. I should look for spots up your way. Then you could just run the RV down so we could put the cabinet in

Sounds even better. And maybe cruise around a little together. LMK.

When you have time, can you post a pic of your coil packaging in the rear? I’m debating on links with a 60 axle and trying to wrap my head around coil ($$) or coilovers ($$$$).

These were JK springs that a friend gave me. They fit in there really nice. I did have to play around with some shims on the drivers side spring to get it to sit level. The 37" tire on the drivers side compressed the spring more than I thought it would. I did have some Bilstein shocks with custom valving by WheelEveryWeekend.com That was a huge ride improvement to get proper shocks on.. This winter I plan to 3 link the front and use coil overs. I would have to say after the fact, coilovers would have been easier to get ride height and level set..... The ride and flex is killer!!!! I am really happy with the upgrade for sure. Money well spent!

Thanks for the pics. Those are 60 width axles, right? Looks clean. Gives me hope.

Yes, it's an Aus 60 full float axle. Same width as the semi float.

Been a while since I updated... I need to get some stuff caught up. I was running into some electrical problem with the 2.8L VM and a friend had grenaded his 2.8 in his Jeep Liberty, so I pulled it out and sold it to him.....

Unfortunately for my time and pocket book, it was pretty easy for @DirtSniffer to talk me into buying one of these.... Truth be told, I am not sure why I overlooked these over the years.... I should be thanking Dan for showing them to me. lol. We had fun beating it down the dirt road in the smashed up car. My wife said how she loved the sound of this diesel motor. :)

Removal was the easy part. The car came from Denver, CO. It was a Scotland Embassy car. Kinda cool. I kept the emblem. lol.

I have had problems over the years of temps climbing up when any motor is tuned up. So this time I wanted to make sure I fitted a large radiator to give myself more cooling capability!! With the 60 power steering I had to keep the downflow radiator. This thing is massive. Clears the frame by 3/8" on each side. Goes down and is flush with the bottom of the frame. And clears the hood by 1/2"!!

Thanks to @DangerNoodle for giving me some mounting ideas on how to mount it, I made some mounts with some rubber isolators.

I really struggled with how to get this cooling stack to fit in the small space on a 40!!! This is not the final setup, this is just version 2....

He said he has to do the door uppers yet. I can't wait to see it. He talked me into doing an 800 denier with a layer of insulation, then a black interior liner. He said that way it won't condensate inside. Seemed like he knew what he was talking about. Showed me the difference in material between the 600 and 800. Quite a difference in strength. Can't wait to see it!!
By chance do you know what brand of insulation was used? This top looked great in person and I would like to have mine insulated with a similar material.

I can double check with him. But, if memory serves me correct, I thought it was 3M thinsulate.

I bought an Aqualu bib just so I could cut the holes bigger to get more air flow. It worked out really well and it's not really noticeable that they are bigger.
