You should just start another thread for the RV project. I have thought about a similar project for a while. 4x4 motorhome that can tow my heavy 40 on a flat-deck.
I am hoping to get the C5500 back from paint tomorrow. I have a pile of parts to put on it taking up space on the shop floor.... We are hosting Easter next week in the shop, so I need to get some of them out of the way. lol. Maybe I need to make tacos to get everyone over??? lol.
Well, not gonna lie... If people knew how cheesy these were attached to the chassis, people wouldn't let there family ride in them!!
And, here she sits until I get the chassis back from paint, lengthen the frame 5 feet out the rear and install a Kelderman air ride in the rear suspension.
While it is in the air, I am going to spray foam the floor area and the tool box that has the water in it. When we came home from the last trip we got caught in a low temp night of 0. Nothing froze, but I ran the furnace going down the road because one of the heat ducts goes into the toolbox with the water filters in it.
Well, got the motorhome roadworthy and at the suggestion from @sogncab a handful of cruiser heads(@DirtSniffer) took an impromptu trip to the Black Hills a couple weeks ago! It was a blast!!
I got my interior door handles mounted for the Aqualu half doors this week. The bonus part was I took the outside slam latches apart and installed a spring in them!! So no more rattling!!!
And a shot of the inside handle, really happy with them. Its gonna take some time getting used to them. I still reach back for the knob on the slam latch....
Managed to slack off work some read through this this afternoon, what an awesome thread!
With some amazing curveballs I didn’t see coming, with 2.8 and links.
Great build!
