Gas BBQ's are fine, open flame will probably be determined the day of the run so be prepared to cook with gas. I'm not sure on the self contained little hibachi (sp?) grills with charcoal, Jeff might know the answer to that.

Dogs are fine on leashes and sometimes without one, depending on the dog and the company.

Rocky area but there are nice flat spots for tents and such.

Always been a kick back relaxed campsite with smiles all the way around, good fun.

We were able to have fires that year, as evidenced by the dutch oven and assembled wood. That was a good year! (although have not had a bad year... other than the year we had to cancel).

so far, I think I just shook the crap outa the gas tank and clogged the filter. been running decent since Ukiah.

Well got an Aussie locker in the rear now, and need to fix the A/C and mount my CO2 tank. Stocked about this trip. Funny how it makes you try to fix everything and get your projects done in time for an event. :)

Can't wait till Friday!
Will be working in White Salmon WA all week, gonna have to bust my rump to be home and packed to leave on Friday, but I am motivated!
See you all there!-Bill

I think we need a 'seconds countdown' update.:)

If anyone is interested in caravaning we will be leaving the Salem, Or area between 11 to 12. If you like we could meet-up let me know!

:cheers:Joel

Sounds good I am leaving Eugene, at 1200 or so.

Shortbus: let me know where you would like to meet. I will be coming from Newberg so Salem would be an easy stop.

Army: I still have your number and will call this week. Where is there a good spot to meet in Eugene area for grub and gas?

clint

How is Taco Time for you? Gateway Mall in Springfield, just to the north east of Eugene is a good spot to get together, lots of other options for food, and ok gas prices.

On the BBQ thing ... sorry, no way to know about charcoal/fie/etc. until the 27th ... things change fast around here during fire season.

RredFJ40: the windshield crack doesn't sound like a big deal. The greasy underside isn't a problem as long as you're not leaving a puddle everywhere you go. The "clean undercarriage" issue for the USFS is more about dirt/mud that holds fungus spores. A high pressure coin car wash stall will clean things up real easy ... get those hidden spots up in the wheel wells ;)

The weather forecast is looking GREAT :grinpimp: The river temp is higher than usual :grinpimp: The recent rain will help the trail tust more than none at all :grinpimp: & this is gunna be a GREAT run :bounce::bounce2::bounce:
