I know everyone is still exhausted from this weekend. (Eventhough I spent only one night, I was pretty tired when I got home. Had to get back for a hot date with wife Saturday night.)

But our calendar shows we have a monthly meeting this SATURDAY, MARCH 1 . . . . I have a hankering for seafood.

We have reservations for 25 or so in the private party room!!!

We have a guest speaker: Michael Harness, co-owner of Atlanta Custom Creations will have a presentation on his new Land Cruiser shop outside of Atlanta. He may even have some goodies. The shop will be specializing in LC restoration and modification, a good thing for those of us who are mechanically challenged!

All you can eat would be great!!! (Picture Homer Simpson at the Ye Ole Sea Captains)

If you want buffet style seafood that wouldn't kick us out and doesn't need reservations we might only be left with places like Silver Bay - think Ryan's of seafood. We've done Ryan's before so Silver Bay might work well. I've never been there before so feel free to throw up a veto.

How about the Great Bay Oyster House in Greer?

They have a private dining room that could accomodate our crew and the prices look pretty good.

I like this one; it seems to have a touch of class to it :D........... I am not one for those all you can eat buffet style seafood restuarant.

Haven't been to Great Bay but heard it's good.
Been to Silver Bay and it wasn't.
Not a fan of buffet, will order from menu if I'm at one.

Seeing as we have a consensus (Steve can eat all the leftovers!), I will call Great Bay and see if I can reserve the banquet hall or a table for 20-30. Bac in a flash. . . .

I would love to be able to make this one, but it's a long trip and I am as big as a house. I can't commit, but I'll see what I can do to convice (read guilt into driving) him that we need to come.

Steve,

You are spot on. Michael use to work for ULC, and it sounds like he has some exciting ideas for his new shop. He said he will be oil changes to complete restos.

Heather,

Hope you and your growing family can come. You should be pretty comfortable at the restaurant as we have a big room all to our selves. (No cramming around like Barleys)

JP,

Bring a cooler an a camp chair to Brevard . . . then bring your bride to Greer, this should be some good eats. JP, can you "ping" the membership with an email? (I have no clue how) Marshall is running a huge fever and his proximity to a keyboard may cause a meltdown.

Got the e-mail sent.

I am too far north to make this one- I am considering using ULC for my interior/exterior paint. Does anyone have a better choice?

I could do it for you.....

We are looking forward to geting this shop off the ground as well as meeting all of you. See you on Saturday.

For those who have'nt been here, it is great. Great oysters and everything else is great too, good draft, great vibe to the place. Ought to be a good time, good choice Davis.
