Too far north. Too far east.
It's almost March and I haven't seen discussion yet. I'm going to be sipping cerveza bare-foot on a beach thinking of you guys ... or maybe not ... so I won't make it.

March run will be up to the Santa Maria Mission if anybody wants to join me. :steer:

:bounce2::bounce2:

Hmm, Santa Maria mission....let me get Isabelle a passport....what are your dates?

I leave Feb 26th (actually after work the 25th). Come home March 13th. I will probably do the Mission around March 9th or 10th. You serious?

:bounce:

I'm in when you get back for a local run snows melting fast! Anyone going out soon? I want to try out a 3 gen. 4runner. :steer:

we don't have a host yet do we? i can host this one.

What date? I'll update the website.

March 7th. you got my address to put up? also, i was thinking of offering that anyone that wants to come earlier can, say 3:00. like a hangout barbeque kinda thing since the weather is so good(as long as it holds). i will have a "cornhole" game set up, and before the jokes i've already heard start:flipoff2:, it's a corn filled bean bag game very much like horseshoes. we play it at work after business hours. it's a very fun game.

I need to make a meeting at some point. Maybe for me, depending how I feel. I definitely won't be playing the cornhole game with a broken rib.

What's the broken rib story? That does not sound like fun.

Shawn - Sounds like fun, but we are already booked that afternoon. But Ellen and I are planning to attend the meeting. The game does sound like fun - I just think it needs a new name. You could give the firefighters a bad rep. :flipoff2: Sorry - couldn't resist!

You wait til after 5p? We start in the afternoon, and call it PT for the pushups the losers have to do each throw, AND when they lose the game.

"Indoor horsehoes" just doesn't bring the same phunnies...

Not sure if I should say, you skiers and snowboarders will laugh. First day this season for me, so I take the morning easy, but by about noon my friends are hitting the trees and rocks. I go around and catch the next black trail, get down that and hit a blue to catch up with them, I felt comfortable with the speed, but made a mistake somewhere. The nose of my snowboard buried into the ground and I landed on the left side of my chest with my arm pinned between the ground and my ribs. Tumbled a few times after that, and that ended my day. Spent a week telling myself it was only bruised. Monday, went to the doctor, she said I broke it. It sure is fun!

I haven't broken a bone boarding for almost 4 years now!!!! I'm due.</p>
Dan
I imagine it's hard fly planes with broken bones. Maybe that's the idea....

Website updated.. I left start time at 6, and can update it to 3 if you like.

it's fine like it is. the meeting part will officially start then. anyone who reads this thread knows now and can show up.:D

yea, the name makes sense for the game (throwing a corn filled bean bag into a board with a hole in it), but lots of comments, jokes, etc. are the norm while playing...and before and after. you can imagine, at a firehouse it gets pretty rough. but there is an "American Cornhole Association" and everything, so the name probably won't officially change. and yes a run of jokes ensued after finding an "Association" existed too.

Yeah it is!

That's why I only fall on soft things. I haven't broken a bone boarding for almost 4 years now!!!! I'm due.

Dan

Well, unfortunatley there wasn't much powder. 4 years? this is my fisrt boken bone in all 34 years of my life, spent the last 17 or so snowboarding and mountain biking. Guess I should consider myself lucky?

Very lucky. I thought I was lucky that I made it to 20 before I got my first, until I wrecked my motorcycle and busted my thumb, collar bone and a rib.

I'll be there....Han will probably tag along as well. Heck I might actually have my 80 to drive there depending how the re-gearing goes this week.
