Looks awesome, really nice job!

Thanks! It's a constant work in progress. I'll be posting more updates and photos this weekend after I get back from my trip. Heading to Uwharrie and then out to the Blue Ridge for the weekend.

What body shop did you use I may have to use them on my pig. Also which paint shop

Alright all,

A much needed update. I threw up the roof rack and a light bar this past weekend. Thanks to Tim from Gamiviti for helping me make the decision to not take out a bank loan on a rigid light bar. I went with a cheaper option and we'll see how it pans out.

I also installed my tailgate lid I recently got in the mail from socallove. It was a pretty straight forward. I was quite pleased with the level of craftsmanship. He obviously spent some time working on it to get it right. Once that was in I spent a good amount of time trying to see what would fit in there. I fit most of everything I wanted to with plenty of left over room for recovery kit.

I don't remember whether or not I posted finished picture of the installed door panels. They came out pretty well. The spacing for the mount holes were a little off but that was easily fixed with industrial strength double sided tape.

I'll be taking the rig out to Uwharrie Saturday morning for the Spring Scavenger hunt and will probably linger around the jeep jamboree to see what Mid South Toyota and Southeast Overland brings to play with. Hopefully I can scoop up some kinetic recovery rope from Steve.

Stay tuned. I found a local fab shop that's going to help me with designing some quarter panel storage boxes and a ad hoc Max Trax mount to bolt to the spare tire carrier.

Enjoy and keep the questions coming. Following our little trip this weekend I'll post some more pics of the Rig out on the trails and exploring Pisgah and Cherokee national forests.

So awesome what you have done with your rig!! Apologies if I missed it but contact for your door panels from Venezuela? What did they run you? Also, would love to see some updates to how you like the socallove tail gate lid after you use it a bit. Thanks!

Thanks brother. I'm out of Hope Mills/Fayetteville area.

Awesome! Come out and camp/wheel/kick tires with us! We've got a big group in NC.

I picked them up from a gentleman named David Perez on EBay. I talked him down to $200+$50 shipping.

Here's the link.

I'll definitely post a solid review of socallove's tailgate lid after I get some solid work out of it. I've got a ton of trips across the east coast planned for this summer. It's just a matter of having the extra time and funds to do it. But you bet they'll all be chronicled here!

Awesome! I definitely will! It's always awesome to catch up with fellow cruiser heads in NC

I would love to know more on how you did the carpet.

For the carpet it's basic indoor outdoor patio carpet i picked up from Home Depot. They keep this color regularly stocked and I think it ran me $30 for enough carpet to do the whole rig.

I used the old carpet as stencils once I removed it.

Words for the wise though...either expect to put new insulation back under the carpet or spray adhesive the carpet down and then make your final adjustment cuts. I found that once I removed the original nasty carpet insulation and replaced it with dynamat the new carpet didn't lay perfectly flat. There's about a 1/2" difference between how the old carpet laid and how the new carpet lays. It lays well enough that it's not an eye sore but for me knowing it's not there it drives me insane. I'll eventually pull it when I get the extra time and spray adhesive it in place to get rid of the slack. All of course when I get extra time. :hillbilly:

Thanks for the link! They look really good and at that price VERY reasonable. Eagerly waiting your updates!

Awesome rig! I really dig the dark green. Quick question, are your drawers on slides? If so which kind?

No problem dude. Make sure you reference the 1st page of the thread if you do pick up door panels from him. There's a good number of pictures and tips to help get them assembled correctly. If you have questions just hit me up.

Sweet thanks for that. Do they work reasonably well w/o the slides?

I've got about 5-6 trips on them and they work great without them. I also pack that thing to the brim. I've never had an issue with the drawers rolling out while driving or accidentally pulling the drawer entirely out while in camp.

I'll snap a pick of it fully loaded today before we get on the road. If you or anyone else want measurements or a write up just give me a holler.
