Only drawback is that if you get the 5 Speed Manual option, you have to also take the cassette player!!!

Super simple double din radio. How novel!

Never have to worry about the stupid screen glitching out on you. Never.

Oh, you want a screen and some features, no bid deal, $300 and its yours. Upgrade in a few years. Simple. No hacks/custom harnesses/fussy Chinese directions needed.

Mind blowing.

if you want high quality audio amplifier and speakers, its not $300 , it will go atleast $1500.

I am puzzled. Is the DIN for radios also common outside Germany ?_?
have me honestly never thought about it. One rarely buys car radios abroad...

Ok. The point is, you get to decide. Cheaper than the factory can do it. And whenever it glitches and becomes obsolete, which it will, you upgrade to any level, cheap or expensive, that you want. You aren't stuck with a fully integrated tacked on screen some odd size that has to have a EE figure out a custom solution. That maybe fine for a supercar....but not a land cruiser. That goes against the very ethos.

its very common in Asian countries, the 1st thing you do after buying a new car is drive it to a audio store to get the speakers, subwoofers and radio units you want.
as @onemanarmy pointed out. You get the option to go as cheap and bare minimum you want or choose the highest quality speakers and amp you can buy in retail.

The H152 can handle the 1VD.
I'm sure it'll more than likely handle the 3UR which has similar power numbers.
The issue comes as very few people would chose the manual 3UR over the A750F
The manual 1VD 200 series are detuned to only 430Nm of torque instead of 650Nm in the automatic. Even the current manual transmission Hilux has a lower torque output compared to the automatic counterpart.

Exactly it looks. Perfectly described. That's just the small disadvantage of the switch. Not that you'll notice much of a difference in performance on the road (you certainly won't notice it off-road) but at least it should increase the life of the engine more than a little.

Yes, at least in the US, the radio openings are usually DIN or Double DIN.

Manual forever!
