Hello everyone! I just wanted to show what I have been working on in some of my down time. I'm not sure what the end game is yet for this... but I aim to model and replicate every soft/plastic part that I can on the 40 series. I have a lot of spare parts but even my parts pool is limited so this will also require me to collect what parts I don't already own.

Resin printing has really opened up some incredible possibilities and this is so far with just a hobbyist printer and some of the more affordable resins. Now that I have some experience with the machine and multiple material types including ABS-like, Tough, Nylon-like, and Flexible/rubber like resins... I hope to try out some of the more expensive resins offered by companies like Loctite.

What do you all think??? I should have some pictures of these installed mid-April.

Left to right (extra thick FST door handles, early door plug, door handle rod plastic clips, the various dash plugs, rear tub wiring grommet for the license plate wires, clutch master cylinder bracket which I believe holds the parking brake cable on 78ish model cruisers)

Not completely done with the design... they work well but I know to be gentle and can get a little too flexible in the sun. Plus without oversizing the hole and installing bearings... they will wear too quickly. I've got a stainless steel 3d printed shaft coming that will be epoxied into the resin printed handle and that should solve all those problems (flex is in the shaft). Handles are normally body painted so cleanup, prime, and paint will still be required

-top one is for front soft brake line retainer spring/bracket
-green one, (should be round) is a dash plug and FJ45 LWB bed plug
-beige one is hood support rod grommet
-last one is bushing for horn contact ring

Funny. Most everything you posted in the first post are readily available from Toyota. I was trying to help. I can easily troll as well.

What are you running for a resin printer? I'm pondering expanding my printer collection in that direction, but haven't really dug in.

All parts were available, then they can become NLA. You can transmit a file almost instantly for free. I really hate when shipping cost more than the parts.

+1 for reasonable price. I would never pay $1000 for a 73 back up light lens. $50 if I had a purest rig. $10 for a daily driver seems reasonable, good mark up for a few cents worth of plastic.

I'm using the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra (12k version). I think the more expensive investment was all the other stuff required for the full workflow (cleaning, curing, etc.) and I went with a tent style enclosure with a full fume hood for extraction which runs almost all the time... I smell fumes walking by the driveway. I went with the AC infinity brand fans, hoses, etc.

frame circle grommet, firewall grommet, and horn contact bushing are on the printer as we speak... should be done in a few hours!
