It’s a good looking rig. Cruiser Solutions once gave me a quote for $10k for a wiring harness on a 1976 FJ40! I guess they know how to charge.

Is this yours?

Not to be a party pooper, but I don’t see a $160k restoration job. Don’t get me wrong it nice.
No worries @clrussell - This is not my truck. This is a consignment and as you can see, a high quality one. The receipts are all pictured in the gallery as are some photos and videos from the Cruiser Solutions. We all know you don't make money paying talented people to build these trucks. The work was done and the money was spent. My goal is to sell the truck at a fair market value while alerting all the people I can and communicating all the information I have.

The truck will be sold to the highest bidder. It's certainly on par with restorations I've seen from other highly respected Cruiser centric companies. What it's worth will be up to the bidders. I anticipate it will be WELL worth the high bid once the dust settles. At this point the bid is $55K with less than a day left. Thanks for looking!

Prices have become stratospheric on restoration work. I was at Barrett Jackson last Jan and $350K - $400K for restored Broncos, Defenders, or Land Cruisers was not uncommon from vendors showing there stuff. When it comes to Cruiser Solutions, they have been in business since the early 90's. They have a person there who has elevated the process of building a Land Cruiser wiring harness to an "art form."

Good - Fast - Cheap

Pick any two!

Concours has every factory marking/sticker from the assembly line, a factory exhaust manifold, needs factory air cleaner…the proper front doors, side mirrors...etc. Yes, I’m a purist when it comes to tossing around words like “Concours”.

PS- this all said, Cruiser Solutions are great guys!

Point taken, @mudpaws - strike “concours” and let’s say “high quality.”

Haha thanks Greg! Reading into his BaT listing, I realized that the grommet might have vibrated, slid down the cable with truck movement. Wow. Someone got a steal if the auction was “no reserve”. I know everyone has their reasons, but I don’t think I’d ever part with that 40. I have a June ‘75 for nearly 30 years and she isn’t even close to that condition. I’ll likely end up passing it on to my kids, or eventually their children if I’m done with it!

The cable has a holder in the middle.. I guess the grommet pulled this cable from the holder... moved itself to the left and installed the cable back...

There was a reserve but it was very reasonable.
