And lastly, I finally got around to installing the dual (four total upfront) USB ports on the international Land Cruiser piece (instead of the cigarette lighter and tray one). I linked the left USB port to the main battery, and the right USB port to the Aux. battery, because they also show voltage -- just another redundancy to show how the batteries are holding up/charging. Eventually there will be a rocker panel in between the USB ports for lockers, lights, etc.

I really dig the cigarette tray delete. Do you have a part number for that trim piece you can share?
 
I was delaying installing the Slee rear bumper for a good while. The price tag is definitely off-putting. But after assembling it, it's easier to understand the price justification. This thing is a TANK. It also comes standard with the tire carrier and ladder. The ladder itself has a ton of accessory options, as well. As a friendly piece of advice, have some jacks and another helping hand. I installed it by myself (it's doable), but I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks for sharing so much of your build. Is this a picture of your LX with the 285/65/18 KO2s? I have a stock '06 LX with AHC that will probably still see 90% pavement and 10% of off-road. How did you like this size and tire? How was it on the road compared to stock? Seems like most LC/LX owners recommend the taller 275/70/18 size, but I'd like to get a wider tire that lines up closer to the fender, and it seems like the 275/70 would need a spacer and might even rub if pushed out that far. Also, there's the spare fitment issue with the 275/70/18, some say it fits, other say it won't.

Also, when you were running these Tundra wheels, did you need spacers to fit the center caps?

Updated the OBA sytem. Manifold in the engine has a universal coupler, just in case someone else needs a fill. The line going below the tee redirects to a 4-port manifold that splits to 4 tubes holding the recoil hoses. The line that come through the tee goes through the firewall to another manifold inside the cabin. From the interior manifold, I have a ball valve to control deflating, and the compressor switch to control inflating. The interior manifold also has a pressure gauge, so I can control the pressure of my tires from the cabin. The thought process behind this is two-fold: First, so I never have to worry about packing a hose for inflating/deflating again (saves space in the cargo area), and; secondly, I do a lot of snow wheeling and will be nice to deflate and inflate from the comforts of the cabin - it will help in inclement weather, as well. Lastly, this is just a proof of concept. Right now, the tubes are PVC and held on via metal clamps. The final version will be thick stainless steel tubing welded to the sliders. Or, if I can find a smaller diameter recoil hose, I will weld it above the slider connecting bridges. Video of OBA in useView attachment 2068671

Hello from up north (lafayette)...I've got an 06 LX and figuring ideas out OBA - I too have the air tank and is down the road. looking for ideas on mounting it in engine bay.. Can you post some details on your mounting bracket and thoughts around putting it behind the air filter. It looks like there is also room in front of it. thanks!
