Just checked and mine does the same. No light unless I hold the button. I haven't driven it for a while, but I don't recall it coming on when there is no trailer connected.

Can confirm same on behavior - no light unless pressed or trailer connected. Would hate to have it always illuminated.

Thank you both! That makes me feel better. I kept waiting for the green blue calibration. The manual leaves it ambiguous as it says the trailer does not need to be connected to start calibrating. Just don’t want to get the trailer out of storage just yet.

There's a test you can perform, with a simple light bulb.
