Searched the forum for days and couldn't find much info about aftermarket rear springs for LX570.

Anyway, I'm planning to hit the Red Cone Trail in CO and other challenging trails in about 6 weeks.
My current truck is 14 LX570 w/ 170K miles as of now, and I have been religiously maintained it for our upcoming 6~7K miles trip.
I will be carrying a Dometic fridge, drawer system, Ikamper RTT, roof rack, extra fuel, bunch of food + gears to last 16 days of off-roading/ camping.
AHC service has been done including 4 globe replacements.
33" AT KO2 tires w/ Slee sliders (will be installed).

My only concern is the soft OEM rear spring especially since it has 170K miles on it.
Does anyone know any aftermarket rear spring to accommodate above added weight to the truck?
I want my AHC to work adequately, and I believe a little heavier rear spring will help considerably.

Anyone with similar experience or any aftermarket rear spring recommendation?
Many thanks in advance.

You won’t exceed OEM springs with that payload especially since you aren’t running heavy armor.

However:

Sounds like an epic trip coming up.

Are you sensor lifted? I ask as that effects the equation of just how much more augmentation you might need. That said, AHC is extremely capable and to @tbisaacs, doesn't sound like you need any at all. It'll handle well past it's rated payload. Don't let the perceived softness dissuade you, as it'll manage up to 1800lbs in my experience.

To answer your question, as it doesn't sound like you have much permanent installed weight other than maybe drawers. I would go with an adjustable approach - airbags. Cheap and easy. There's other advantages for overlanding in that it can be used to level the car side to side, and front to back by parking nose high and lifting rear, which I use all the time. Especially with an RTT, you want to be level for a good nights sleep.

If you are sensor lifted, you can add coil spacers of similar height. 20-30mm spacers work great to offset the sensor lift. Here's more on how to augment for load.

Terrain Tamer makes a part for the LX470 for uprating AHC rear springs, several on the forum have installed it successfully to help with heavy static loads.

The last quote I got on it from Cruiser Brothers was around $400 shipped.

May want to wait to install the springs until you get the additional goodies installed. Otherwise the suspension likely won't go into low and will be underdamped in normal.

I'm currently running factory 80 springs...

Cool! I've always wondered what the spring rate differences were between the 80/100/200 springs. Maybe I should some digging.

Looks like I've played this game before. We still don't know the LX570 stock AHC spring rates.

LX470 AHC - 95 lbs/in
LX570 AHC - ???
King Springs AHC KTRS-79 - 130
LC80 - 150
LC100 - 170
LC200 - 170

Excellent point...

I should note that I'm bare empty most of the time..... it rides like factory.... just barely dosen't go all the way to L empty tho... but does when hooked up to turtleback... also helps get rid of that lean since the factory AHC springs are two different sizes

One variable we don't have enough data on with the springs is free length. Hard to compare between the springs on rates alone but that's what we've got. Good to know it's working well for you. I bet if you AHC sensor lifted just a tad, you'll be able to get into low more reliably.

With airbags, I'm able to try different things back to back. It can be subtle but with too little load on AHC, the damping quality changes. I've also tried too much bag pressure to unload AHC, and it can cause the accumulators to completely purge any hydraulic fluid trying to reach AHC low, potentially overflowing the AHC reservoir.

I had a lean so I swapped the e left rear spring for a right rear spring, thereby evening out the load bearing characteristics given the excess weight I have in the rear for tools, etc. I also put small spacers on the coils in the rear.…rear spring swaps and spacers are super easy installs.

I wanted to carry a bunch of extra weight back there temporarily I would add air bags like teckis did.

Can I just use two 'left' driver side LX570 rear springs (the shorter of the pair)?

I want to replace the coils on my 570, they're old.

Right Rear LX570 spring 48231-60d31 is $180 at the dealer, PartSouq not in stock and none new on ebay.
Left Rear LX570 spring 48231-60D21 is $157 at the dealer, $110 shipped from PartSouq or $196 for a pair.

Other available options:
2x New King Springs STANDARD HEIGHT COIL SPRINGS For LEXUS LX470 UZJ100R on ebay $325USD shipped.
both springs same height BTW

LX470 with AHC springs $325 shipped from PartSouq
RH 48231-6A730, Yellow painted mark, length approx 17 1/2 inch, (this is designated RH/LH in PartSorq)
LH 48231-6A740, Green painted mark, length approx 18 1/8 inch. (this is designated LH in PS)
There are other colors available

I don't know why the 470 is left-long and the 570 is right-long unless it's about the gas tank location.

Used 80 series springs on 570
Gas is on driver side which is not the case in 570 so does it really matter?

green, brown, pink, purple, yellow i'm ready for the straightjacket

AHC on the LX570 is pretty capable on stock LX570 springs. Your gear doesn't sound too crazy. Payload is rated at around 1,400 lbs. Are you going to be over that? If it is just your gear. you described plus 1 or 2 people I bet you'll be fine. If you have 5 adults plus all that gear then it might be pushing it.

But if you think you'll be over weight I would just throw some LC200 springs in there and call it good. But once you're back to normal-ish weight I would put the LX springs back in. Keep in mind if you "over-spring" with AHC you will end up getting little to no dampening and end up with a bouncy ride. You need enough weight on the struts to let AHC do its job.

On another note what tire size is that? Looks 👍

TLC springs would be way, way over-sprung for AHC
Depends on the weight overall. From the description in the first post I think AHC in stock springs is probably fine. But hard to tell until it’s all weighed or installed.

Stock TLC 200 springs are 70-80% stiffer than (about) LX570 rear springs: LX 570 Custom Springs? - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/lx-570-custom-springs.1017310/post-14174915

You'd seriously confuse the system. Coil spacers or King Springs AHC KTRS-79 have been the go-to for heavy AHC trucks. @radman has the chunkiest 570 that I know of and believe his truck is perfectly happy on the 130# coils. 170# would be bonkers.
