Even with a 1" and possibly 1.5" body lift, the fender is going to need work as there's so much uptravel. My goal is to work within the fenders. Some may choose to cut the sheetmetal back about 1.5-2" which will work nicely too. My preference is to keep the stock bodylines so I pulled and rolled the fender out about .75" with an Eastwood style fender roller. Heatgun and patience. I used a wooden pole to measure from various points with a mark, so I could gauge how much I'm pulling. I also folded up the metal tabs that hold the liner. Lots of massaging and grinding. I also spaced out the lower edge of the fender with a 1/4"nut as a standoff.

Thank you for this detailed post @TeCKis300. It's very well organized. Especially excited to see a fender roller being used on a 200 Series. Could you talk about that a little more and maybe share another photo or two? How did it turn out and are you happy with it? How does it look on the outside? Did you have to modify the roller to work with our setups?

Sure. I've rolled the fender a couple of times now. Initially a mild roll to better fit 35x12.5s. Tucking the tabs and lip tighter to the outer fender.

The eastwood style knockoff fender roller (tons on Amazon) aren't long enough to reach the fender lip. So I cheated and mounted it offset on the hub. The lug pattern doesn't fit either so mounted offset solves both problems. Here's some pics of that effort in this thread

This time to fit 37x12.5s, I did pull the fender about .75". This changes the profile of the fender just a tad but no one would know unless they're looking for it. It also changes the fender / door gap just a tad, but again, nothings really obvious unless looking for it.

Very few can roll fenders cleanly and not make it blatantly obvious and tacky.

This is amazing work sir! Looks factory clean! Bravo! 👍🏼

Note: Yellowed headlights affect visibility and that’s a safety issue. Safety first man! #clearlightsmatter

It's pulled pretty aggressively to clear the tires at full bump, but no cracks or kinks in the paint/metal. Heat gun, pay attention to the angle of the roller, and go slow.

This is probably like the 10th car I've rolled fenders on. Was much more cautious with the 911. Though sports car fenders are much easier to work. The fender on the 200-series is thiiick.

I am really embarrassed and sorry. Almost exactly 2 years ago now, I posted to that thread, not once, but multiple times.
My memory and excitement is really wild.
🤦‍♂️

@TeCKis300, any chance you're joining in COTRockies this year? (Re)reading up on rolling fenders almost makes it seem like this could be a really fun (and possible) “tech night” we could do during the event! I don’t have a problem buying one, but I might wait until Prime Day and I don’t know if I can get to it before the trip.
