I am late to the idea of owning a series 100 Lexus lx470. Dr buddy has one he may sell me if I want it. It’s an 06 with 288k miles on it. He says fully serviced. The idea is that I can use it as a tow car behind my 40’ diesel motorhome. Coach is white as is the lx470. Am I crazy to consider this?

I have an 08 ls460 and an 08sc430 also that are great cars. I understand the poor gas mileage.

ls has 130k and the sc has 43k

100s are awesome, that being said remember it’s 20 years old. It could need some love.

Not a bad idea at all but they will need some TLC from time to time. If your into that then go for it. If you don't want minor headache then may not.

"Fully Serviced" means substantially different things to different people, imo ("What the heck are heater tees?"). I'd personally want to verify what this meant before taking on a vehicle that, say, hasn't had brake, AHC, or PS fluid drained in ten or more years.

If you don't already have a toad, you'll need to add $5k+ for vehicle receiver, tow bar, brake actuator, wiring, etc. to tow the LX.
