Next time you need them (and other universal type LC parts) check with CDan...you'll save $$$...plus he's a good guy (or so I'm told).

whats funny is when I bought my 2000 LC, I asked Dan(actaully the 100 list, but Dan replied) about the cabin filters(as I showed them as avabile) Dan said that only the Lexus got them, the LC did not :)

too funny..........I guess i win a free filter for stumpin Dan :D

Now i need a pair of them for the LX and LC

Sheeesh 'Pimp...looks like you're starting your own car lot...in fact Cruiser lot

Cabin Filter

I checked mine, it had the door, but no filters. Plenty of leaves and bug carcasses trapped in there!

Does anybody know if autoparts stores such as Kragen, Napa, etc carry the cabin filters?

I recommend Crusierdan ( a site sponsor - with generous discounts - see vendor forum ). The denso site listed above and lexus dealers are probably the best place to find the filters. Most autoparts stores will not carry the filters.

I couldn't find them locally...even the Toyota dealer had to order them. However I got them from CDan...

Be sure to get all the debris (leaves, pine needles, bugs, whatever) vacumed out of the filter tracks...otherwise you won't be able to install the filters properly. You might, like I did, need to make an 'extension tube' for your vac crevice tool out of a paper towel roll (the cardboard roll left over) to be able to reach the nearest corners of this track.

Our original window sticker for 2000 TLC says "cabin air filtration"

It's a simple bullet item on the list of standard features.

I KNEW I saw it SOMEWHERE!

Filters have been in for a few weeks (?) and no complaints from wifey yet.

She's just happy that it starts up on the first turn of the key.

Awesome thread. Some confusion about the Denso site listed here it seems. They are not Denso, they just sell Denso stuff.

I ordered air filters, irridium plugs, fuel filter, and the cabin filters. I like finding good parts sites with online ordering. Saves me so much time.

I have the two brand new cabin filter and a brand new air filter for sale. I purchased them to repalce but then sold my LX. if someone is interested you can email me at aassume@Hotmail.com

2006 model, no air filter. Wonder if it has been relocated?

I ran a comparison on the Lexus site between the LX/LC/4runner and it did show that the LX and 4runner have cabin filters but the LC doesn't. Seems real strange. Why would Toyota skip the LC when it came to this feature?

did my 2000 LC over the weekend, it did have the filter housing.

You need two filters. Is that the price for one or two?

should be for 1 filter

The price for filters in Europe is absurd!

I've checked at the local Toyota dealer and the local price for a SINGLE filter is $70! I guess this is because Lexus was not present in Slovenia (but it is going to be soon).
As my wife is currently in Florida (until Friday) - where coud I order filters to have them delivered to her hotel at a reasonable price?
We are going on our next Sahara trip in two weeks, and on our last one there was quite some dust in our car.
