My Son Wrecked my 2004 that I had completed this one and I just bought a 2006 LX and was able to transferred everything over from the 2004 to the 2006. I only had to make one change to which was the A/C amp. Luckily the guy I bought my 06 LX from had a complete set of parts to remove the Nav system. This makes all the difference in the world to these cars.

I also now have a complete set of computers, brackets, Jerry B harnesses, etc for someone to buy if they like. What I have will work on a 2003LX to 2005LX. Will put the info in for sale section of mud.

The A/C amp I have will work in a 2003 to 2005. I took it out of my ‘04. I tried in on the 06 but the A/c was not working so I used the one I already had for the 06.

Just happened across this thread. Seems to be all for LX? I have an 05 Land Cruiser and am wanting to do this conversion if still possible.....will the parts listed work for LC as well? I havent read through everything as I dont want to read a bunch of stuff that dosent apply.


The head unit is basically my only dislike about the 100 Series. I have seriously contemplated buying a newer 200 series JUST because I hate the head unit soooo much in my 100. Ive tried GROM, blue tooth adapters, tesla screen and all were basically garbage.......help! lol

there is a thread for Land Cruisers somewhere on here. I’m not sure if any of this will work with the Landcruiser as I have t been following the Land Cruiser thread

Kenwood X802-5 or XM802-5 is the perfect selection for the aftermarket amp. It can fit to factory navigation brackets. You can even reuse the cover for it.

Do you have a write up on how you wired/connected the amp?? Im getting ready to swap out radios to a 10" android (i have a factory non-nav truck and previous owner swapped in a double din already)

Got the spare wood dash from e-bay and carefully went to town with the hack saw. Here are the results. Not to bad..... I wonder if I can return the side vents.

I love this. My side trim for the nav delete weren’t fitting great and i like this look better anyway. Nice job. As soon as i work the kinks out of the nav delete to make sure i don’t have to convert back to the old stuff, im doing this. Nice job
