I made the switch to 285/55/20’s Yokohama G015 AT from Michelin Lat. Tour 285/50/20. No issues with fit on stock rims on an 08 LX. Noticeable drop in mpg’s but worth it for my needs. I thought long and hard about switching to 17” or 18” rims but I prefer the look of the 20” rim on a truck of this size.

By "noticeable" how much are you talking about? Are you allowing for the change in the odometer accuracy? The bigger tire may show 95 miles on the odometer but might actually be 100 miles traveled. My 80 with 34s is wrong my over 10%.
Well I know that I am probably an odd example but my 80 gets at best 12 mpg on the highway so at the 17 to 18 that my LX gets, I am elated. If I drop back to 15 to 17 after going to 275/60/20s, honestly, I probably wont notice it, especially if the extra sidewall smooths the expansion joints out a little which is the only complaint I have about the LX 570. I had a 100 series Landcruiser with 16s so I remember the feel of the extra sidewall. For the LX, I am thinking of going with Michelin Defenders because I mainly use it for long trips.
I have not done the calculations taking into account odo accuracy. So no exact #’s. New tires are 18lbs heavier per tire, so you definitely notice a change. Guessing its 1.5-2mph worse.
I want to see if I could get a consensus from the LX owners out there. The specific tire I am looking at is here:

I plan to run some tundra TRD wheels. Is a 1 inch spacer the appropriate choice for a 33.7"x11.5 tire?
I plan to go read through the 295 thread, but does anyone see any issue with this tire LT285/70R18?

Either of those offsets will work.
As the LX can handle wider tires, may want to also consider LT305/65R18 @ 33.6" x 12.2"

No issues but there is like 10x the selection with respect to 295/70/18 vs 285/70/18. 295 is a really common size especially for tundras and sequoias

I like that tire size. Only caveat is this size gets into re-gear required territory IMO. As long as it's wide eyes open going in, it's a great size.
New to me 2017 LX and I just put on OEM BBS TRD 18" wheels and Falken Wildpeak A/T3W in 275/70/18. A tiny bit of rubbing when I turn, but nothing that a heat gun can't fix. At least I hope. I am a little more worried about the top of the tire rubbing if I have much of a load in the vehicle. Hmmm. Next step is a simple AHC sensor lift.

That's exactly the tire/rim combination I was considering for my 19. Debating between the HE rims vs the black pro rims.
Was hoping there wouldn't be any rubbing.. does that mean I should go with a smaller tire size?
The rubbing is very minor and my project this week is to work on it with a heat gun. But the height of the tire is what I am more concerned about and only having about 1/2 inch of space between the tire and the hardware....
Love to hear an update when you do try the heat gun and forgot to mention Rig looks amazing!

So.. that’s like 80% of the point of AHC is so that when you add weight, the height doesn’t change. Not saying don’t do a sensor lift, just saying adding weight shouldn’t be a concern. It’s actually pretty cool. A few weeks ago I loaded 600 lbs of gravel over my rear axle. She was sitting pretty low. Started it up and let AHC do the magic, and was back at normal height in 10 sec or so.

At about 1800lbs, it'll still do the deed but won't lift into high. That's where the addition of airbags comes in. 2200lbs with 15PSI in the bags, rides great and will lift into high.

285/75/17 yoko go15 (33.9 x 11.3)
I have bora 1” spacers as well if needed.
From what I’ve read here, spacers are not necessary but shouldn’t harm anything if the stance is preferred. Also, I’m expecting to do some minor massaging of the mud flaps and liners.
Any other issues I’m missing?
