"Mall wheeling" is that what you call posing on a parking lot pylon.
Welcome.
When I got my LX450, I did the following:
Base-lined - Replaced all fluids in diffs and Engine.
Radiator flush and fill with Toyota Red Anti-Fr
Transmission Fluid Exchange ( Make sure its an exchange and not a flush)
Rebuilt Front Axle, replaced front rotors and pads (with 100 series Pads)
Note : Front axle $200 by yourself of $1300 at shop. Find a cruiser head to help
Now the fun:
The LX suspension is soft will tend to lean more in turns. My wife didn't like it. I was happy to fix it for her.

I bought a 2.5" OME lift & OME shocks and a Sll xfercase Skid plate.
My tires were wearing out so I bought 285 75 R16 BFG AT KO's.
I just bought a set of Slee Sliders, the new step ones not on his web page yet that look similar to running boards (Family Friendly).
My rig is now ready for some wheeling at Moab. You can find pics for the previous mods if you search this section of the forum.
The bottom line is fix what needs fixin, and if you need to fix something (suspension) that you may want to upgrade later. Take your opportunity.
Next up ARB Front Bumper, Hanna Rear Bumper (Maybe), Winch
