Normally the goal of LS swapping is cheap and reliable-ish power. Since the 2UZ is extremely reliable and not a total slouch on power I think the desire to LS swap is just very, very low.I’ve been searching mud for an hour now and I haven’t found any info on LS swapping the 100 series. If any can point me in the right direction that would be great!
Thanks in advance.
Plus nobody is doing much hardcore stuff with the 100 platform yet. More power to sit in traffic? EhNormally the goal of LS swapping is cheap and reliable-ish power. Since the 2UZ is extremely reliable and not a total slouch on power I think the desire to LS swap is just very, very low.
For the relative trouble, I'd just turbo or supercharge a 2UZ. Figuring out the mods to do that is probably less work than properly integrating an LS. And a turbo'd 2UZ would be sweeeeeeeeet.
What's your goal?
Thanks for your response. I just want more power. Our motors in our truck just doesn’t have enough power. I honestly don’t want to turbo or supercharge our high compression motors as it’ll cause even more problems. I think buying and installing a supercharger will cost just as much as a swap (maybe I’m wrong). I honestly need more info.Normally the goal of LS swapping is cheap and reliable-ish power. Have you looked into the Doug Thorley headers and an unrestricted exhaust? @RobRed showed some serious gains on his TLCfaq site from just an exhaust if I recall correctly. If you can deal with the louder exhaust note, there's a significant power gain available for relatively little effort. Thanks for your response. I just want more power. Someone on the Facebook forum posted this photo and said the thread was on mud. I have yet to find it.
That's a tomorrow problem, not a today problem. Serial thinking FTW!Bay Area? How do you plan on getting it smogged/registered
