Khris @ LRA suggested I go through Cruiser Brothers but I can't get anyone (Roark) to return my call. I may have to order through LRA and wait 6 months!

Resurrecting an old topic.
I am in the process of installing a 182 liter long range tank, which is slightly different then yours.
The tank is in, but I am have trouble to get the fuel filler and breather hoses in between the small gap between the tank inlet and the filler point.
Anyone any idea how this works?

87warrior, thanks for this great diy guide. Can you go into a little more detail as to extending the fuel suction and fuel return hoses that terminate at the top of the tank?

For the fuel suction tube extension, did you cut into the hard nylon tube to separate both end couplers? Then simply extend with provided hose? From your picture it kinda looks like the end with the red plastic ring is intact as the part comes from factory but you put a clamp over it?

And the return tube - same thing? Cut through rigid nylon tube and use provided hose to extend length? How did you join the provided 600mm hose to the older hose that is there from factory? (Pn 95336-06030) Seems maybe you used the nippled/barbed end of the suction tube to join these hoses?

Hope my questions make sense. Thanks a ton.

If I miss understood you questions please let me know, but I think I've figured out what you are asking. It's also been a couple of years since I did this install... All of the fuel line modifications and parts needed to modify them are included with the LRA kit.

Fuel suction line. Yes, you have to cut out the fittings on each end of the hard factory line. These fittings are then pushed into the new extended rubber line and clamped on. The red ring is what secures the fitting to the rest of the factory fuel system.

Fuel return line. Same procedure as the suction line. If I remember correctly, factory line has a barbed fitting under the hard nylon hose that the extension line fits over and is clamped to.

As a follow up to this thread: I am exploring southern Utah this week and have been very happy to have this 40 gallon tank along for the ride, especially while pulling a trailer.

I see your parking brake cable dangling here like mine was before I installed the tank. Now it's just stretched around that corner, and the cable tab that secures on the rear tank strap doesn't line up either. So the parking brake cable is floating the entire length of the tank. Did you do anything with yours?

I left the parking brake snugged around the corner of the tank. I am not sure what the "right" way to secure the cable is with the tank, but the parking brake worked with the cable like this the one time I have used it since installing the tank.

That’s a bit of a bummer.
This pic is from the LRA Australia website.

In this photo it looks like the brake cable goes to the right side of the vehicle, since the tank was designed for RHD it therefore isn’t an issue. In LHD the cable goes left and interferes with the tank. IMO the tank should have this clearance built in if it is advertised as fitting LHD.
