Lower Dash Pad Removal

How do you remove the lower dash pads with destroying the clip? Are there replacement clips on the market?

couple of screws underneath
maybe spray some lubricant on the backside to lube the posts in the clips??
wonder if there is room to push the posts thru from behind the dash
use a long flat prying device near where the posts are located
 
I have thought a door card removal tool might work. I think you would have to work it from the top. The studs will pull away from the pad if you are too aggressive.
 
It's been forty years since I removed this part off of my Jan '72 FJ40, so I don't recall how I did it. All I have to offer is a picture taken off my old microfiche and a couple of the piece itself. I may have those clips buried very deep somewhere here, I'm just not sure right now. Hope someone that's been through this before will chime in on clip availability, as I may need them also.
