Also, I have a 1991 HDJ81 triple locked, will installing the CDL switch and doing the pin 7 mod be exactly the same set of instructions as mentioned above?

I have never touched one of those so I can't say for sure. I assume that it probably is. An HDJ81 would be right-hand drive so the components may be mirror-image or they mat not.
