I have done one or two rear disc swaps and can assemble the parts with a little elbow grease and about $200. I have nothing against properly adjusted and properly working rear drums but would never rebuild a drum system when I can convert for the same or less.

Anyone have a pic of the 'correct' layout of this heater arm? Mine was loose and off. Looks like it's missing a screw. And an $18 knob lol

Ok. Need a little redirection putting these back together, since there were no signed of any gaskets when I took the hubs apart.

I have new studs hammered in. Boy were they tight. Haven't ever had trouble with studs like these. The last 1/8" or so was a booger.

Ok. So. I have some stuff I don't need obviously, because I am not removing the steering knuckle.

That said. Here is a pic of what I have. Does the felt gasket get used? Does it go directly against the knuckle or is that the round paper one?

Does the round rubber o-ring gasket go on the back of the hub? Didn't see one when I took apart and they came with the hub gasket kit.

I think I have the other positioned where they go......

Paper gasket you have on the spindle goes between spindle and knuckle. Then backing plate, large round paper gasket, large seal with bolt holes. The larger of the seals leafy are for the inner wheel bearing. The smaller are inner axle seals. Out of curiosity, why are you not pulling the knuckles while you're there? All your lacking is steering arms and 8 10mm bolts per side.

Thanks Rob! Everything looked ok. And frankly, I need to get this thing to where I can put wheels and tires on and move around.

I'll try and make sense of it. I'm NOT using the thick felt gasket, right?

Also I don't remember which of these bolts is which. Half have the neck on them. Are they the ones that bolt the spindle on or are they the ones that bolt the rotor on from the rear :headsdratchin:

6 hub/rotor 8 spindle. Large felt, rubber, split ring will not be used unless you pull the knuckle.

Man I type slow. Looks like you figured it out.

You know those wheel studs are not all the way seated yet right?

yes. that's why i mentioned in the comment that getting them to seat from that point was awful......i have a nerve issue in my neck and the overhand 3# sledge and ball hammer combo was a biatch...

Cool. A small shop press (I know, I don't have one either) makes this a much easier job. Worth it to drop by a local shop and ask to borrow theirs for 5

Oofff... Just saw you latest post. Sorry, man
