Add me to the list of easy sale. I'm ready to buy.

How's college going for you now?

Yes!! This is excellent!! TAKE MY MONEY!! ;)

Will do, but slightly later:hillbilly:

Do you have any friends that are 6'8".... If not I don't know if this will work :(

:hhmm:...

no:bang:

this is very cool, put me on the list!, so in that middle section one could install a cb, switches, etc? I guess you could run the wires under the headliner and down the drivers side pillar?

will the production units be grey like this one? also, is the whole thing plastic? what is that center section made out of? will it hold up to having several cuts made into it? Most likely I would like to mount a cb, switch panel and a couple seat heater switches in there.

1DIn size fits perfectly in it and anything close to it. There is picture of 1DIN stereo installed earlier i posted.

Very cool, but it looks like I need to give up on the idea of a Cobra 29 fitting in there. Oh well. That just pushes it down the priority list.

Cobra 29 is slightly too large.

Might have to do this then, thanks! Really hoping this works out for us tall folk, should add quite a few more orders to the pile.

I will contact both of you on it. I may have to send couples to BC.

might want to fill up on gas first :flipoff2:
just notice i got low fuel light on again on the picture :bang:

How's college going for you now?

keeps me busy

Is there an option to have tan visors? I'm in too.

no color match yet.

I filled up and drove yesterday for about 45 min around town and here is my thoughts:

1. Damn how handy that thing could have been at couple of trips i did with all that maps and print outs piling on the central console and flying around it.

2. Did not notice any issues with visibility at all.

3. Tried to accelerate few timer really hard but could not get the papers and map fall out. I guess guys with Turbos and SC can report better results.

4. I was surprised it does not squeak at all.

I know some of you really want to get your hands on this console, but my supplier got only few available right now. However i should get a date for new production run later next week.

When i will be ready to start taking preorders i will create group buy thread.

Stay tuned

Here are some pictures of aftermarket visors

so for those of us with Tan interiors, can we use the stock visors? or we stuck finding our own tan visors that work?

Still in, I'll make do either way!

X2. I just installed my beautiful $250 Rosen aircraft sun visors. Am I not able to reuse them? The Rosen have the exact same base as OEM.

Can you give me a price for shipping to the uk.

If there are other people on this side of the pond that would like one I don't mind dispatching them if it helps with shipping to the uk

yes, curious as to why the 1st picture showed a non cut upper portion and the second picture showed it cut? I would assume that these will come "cut" and ready to use?

also, curious as to how they actually mount to the headliner? in a few pics there are screws that look like wood screws or ?, I think I understand how the center portion mounts, but how about the side pieces? how are these firmly attached to the headliner area?

Cobra 29 is slightly too large.

I knew it was going to need modification if it could fit since the 29 is larger than 1 DIN, but I was still hopeful that it could be modified. The 1 3/4" short end is too small though - it might fit if I leave about 4" of the CB sticking out which isn't worth it.

Like I said, it still looks great, but for me it needs to move down the priority list.

my thought is you could probably mount the cb to the bottom of the center section using the supplied angle bracket that comes with most cb's? that is what I plan to do. The plus to this is it leaves the face of the center section open for switches and or guages, which I am going to have several of.

My understanding is they come uncut to Akella, from there he will correctly trim them to suite your ceiling type - hard or soft. No cutting required by you in the end, IIRC. :)

These look good. I am in. I'll be curious to see if the first person who has an accident with this shelf gets a big cut on their forehead or whether the airbag will stop them in time. Either way, I want more storage space so I'll take the chance. That is the only thing that has frustrated me in the 16 years I have owned my 80. Hopefully I won't be the litmus test on the head bang!! :bang:
