Door actuator sweep/rod stuck. Searching for solutions.

Replacing the Left rear door actuator on my '97. Tear down was going well as I've recently done the opposite side a year back. For whatever reason I can't get this sweep/rod out. PB blaster, trim separating pliers, wrench... everything In my small arsenal didn't touch it. With the risk of breaking it slowly creeping in, I was curious if anyone has had similar experiences and would like to share how they managed.

Heat the plastic very gently and see if you can get some flexibility back in it. It's gotten hard with age.

The clip is 69759-14050. $3.42 from online dealers websites.

BTW, they're apparently pink now.

I'll give that a shot. Hopefully a heat gun should do.

It worked. It did snap the clip clean off but at least its out and I didn't break the inner door handle. Thanks again.
