I'm not talking about the ones that point up at the windshield, but the ones mounted on the dash itself meant to defrost the door windows. I've sourced a 74 tub that I'm putting on my 78 frame. My 78 has these vents, the 74 doesn't. Not sure how I feel about the look of them, I think I may like the less cluttered look. I'm in Utah, so they'd probably come in handy, but this is not a daily driver, not sure how much I'll be using it in the winter (more of a summer cruiser). Any thoughts or opinions from you guys? Leave the dash uncut and leave them off, or go ahead and drill the holes and tap the screw hole on the 74 dash? Anything I'm missing if I decide to leave them off? I'd guess need to plug the holes on the ducts or buy new ducts without the holes that channel to the side vents?
