Here's an update:

benderb.jpg

need to build a stand for it, and going to get an air over hydro ram

here's a quick line drawing of what i'm kind of thinking for the cage, not really sure what i'm doing as far as the bed is concerned though
4doorwexo.jpg

finished the door hinge for drivers side
crewcab89.jpg

and the upper exterior of the b-pillars
crewcab90.jpg

crewcab91.jpg

I set out some pieces to figure out the roof and will start welding it up tomorrow then on to body work and finishing

you know what would be cool on that thing? a retractable canvas top like the old vw's had.

here's the work from about a month ago:

framed up and tacked in the sun roof section
crewcab92.jpg

then started to fill in around the edges

and that brings it up to date to today:

rolled it out today to do the body work on mike's half doors, finally decided i couldn't wait anymore for space in the shop to open up so put the wheels back on and let it get some sun
crewcab105.jpg

and threw the bed on just to get an idea of what's left to be done. Still need to trim the fenders, slope the bottom edge behind the wheel, and maybe a dove (still debating that one)
crewcab106.jpg

picked up a ford tank, out of a '93 f-150. Extended the frame back out just a little bit and cross member replaced
fordtank.jpg

going to get the tank mounted solid tomorrow and lines ran, then it's on to mounting the bed and body work

got the tank strapped in and lines ran, will build a skid/cage for it later on

From what i've read and some rough measuring, 19 gallons

got a little bit done, finished cleaning the sender up and re-worked the float so it wouldn't read backwards

some work on the rear doors, they're just pieced together in these pictures trying to figure them out
reardoors1.jpg

reardoors2.jpg

and i'm thinking of turning the besides into tool boxes like you see on some new full size trucks like this one:
dodge_ram_box_2.jpg

I wish, but I doubt it

here's a little update, got the fuel filler neck tube ran and kept it on the passenger side, personal preference
fuelfiller.jpg

then started working on the bed wall
bedwork1.jpg

just for reference i set the shocks about where they will be mounted to the cage that will be between the cab and bed, fuel filler will also be mounted to the cage
bedwork2.jpg

bedwork3.jpg

then started skinning, the two sections to either side of the center will have removable panels so i can easily get to the shocks or anything else back there
