That's a cool latch system you set up. How do you think it will do when you have something tied down to the shackle? Any chance of it turning and the doors flying open?

I'm once again impressed with your fab skills, and the ideas that you come up with. When I get a little more cash, we'll have to talk rear bumper and sliders.

I'm going to add a lock to it so that it won't be able to turn unless unlocked. I used a half inch bolt and nut for the pivot so it should be able to handle using it as a tie down as well when needed.

After all this is done i'm going to be getting some time to work on my bending skills and trying my hand at a partial exo so we'll see how that goes

Is that upol stuff spray on or roll on ... I want to line my 40?

How has it held up?

It has held up Great! All my gear I hauled in Alaska as well as the firewood I go and get in the mountains has not scratched it.

Spray on and you can color match it.

Very nice work Talon!! You have a very one of a kind rig that we will be glad to wheel with. Hope to at least make mine trail worthy so I can tag along:D

Looks sweet!

Will the doors be body color, or remain black?

black for now, but when i touch up the body when all this is done i might paint the hinge section and the bottom kick panel the same color as the truck

the doors are all finished up

Looks great. The rear seats raised up will keep the pasengers happy. My FJC has "stadium" seats in the back (raised higher than the front seats) and everyone in back comments on how much better it is to be able to see over the heads of the front seats.
