AFAIK the pressure angles on the birfield (105) vs the stub axle on the 100 IFS is not the same so the 105 hubs don't work on a 100 IFS. We had them all here when we built the SAS using the hub 105 parts.

The 100 IFS are larger in dia then the 105 also

PS, you could get the hubs to work if you SAS it :)

I was on the SAS track a few years ago but once I found out from an owner, a SAS 100 rides and drives like an 80 I purchased another 80

CC in comfort in a IFS LX is not comparable to an SAS 100 or an 80 for that matter

Picture not taken i the US;)

Back to this mod - The ONLY hubs available for an IFS LX470/100 series are AVM

Wow nice job! I did a part time conversion too sort of...added a JKUR :D I miss the incredible all day comfort of the 100 though!

Thanks I more happy with the look than I thought I would be.

It rained here today and 2wd VVTI power is fun.

I must have missed it, but did you just install hubs or did you get a PT kit in the transfer case also?

Just got excited and threw hubs on thinking it would quick and easy, not! Having done it before it will take less time to install the spool in the tcase. The spool will need to wait because Im in the middle of prepping for a trip and some small mods on my 80 series.

ABS is fully functional in 2wd
No need to remove the tcase when installing the spool
Pressing a new bearing on the spool is much easier unless you have a large bearing removing tool. The tool cost is much more than the bearing
Part-time is wife approved

Years ago, I converted a 70s jeep quadratrac case to part time and it was a similar process. The main difference was it was chain driven, but the driveability difference was noticeable. This kit will on my list of things to do.

Spent some time on the highway confirming this is the way I want to go. Without the spool installed in the tcase I can easily switch back and forth between 2wd and all wheel drive hub equipped. Both the wife and I like 2wd much better on the highway and dirt forest road. Steering is lighter easier to drive with less steering input and no torque steer. We have one trip to Mexico coming up in a week and will do the transfer case spool install when we return.

Note: If my plan was to wheel my LX470 hard I would be scared of AVM hubs even the HD version I purchased. They are in no way an Aisin Hub equivalent.

Here in the UAE we get the 100 series in ALOT of specs, some of which are
Automatic/1FZ-FE/Part time
Automatic/2UZ-FE/full time
Manual/1FZ-FE/part time
Manual/1FZ-FE/Full time
Manual/1FZ-FE/Part time without locking centre diff (H2-H4-N-L4)
Manual/2UZ-FE/Full time

I'm currently unaware of other specs (other manuals, diesel..ect)
All of the engines in GCC spec have a higher power output as well for example the 2UZ-FE here produces 249HP(non vvti) and 431NM

So this will allow part time and the ability for a rear auto locker?

I have been looking at auto lockers but my understanding is that since we are full time 4wd that's not possible. In would love a rear auto locker.
