Looking for input: What are the best Manuel locking hubs for my 1982 FJ60

I am trying to find a really nice, tuff set that will last

Just out of curiosity why Aisin and not something like Warren ect.

The Aisin's are stronger and last longer.

Warns are aluminum body. Too thin and brittle along the spline groove for the slider gear. I have seen several grenade on the trial. So far, I have not seen an Asain/Asco blow up. John

Ok been looking all over the Internet. where is the best place to pick up a new set.

Beno or Cdan can get them with a mud discount. Used ones are often in the parting out section, or a local pik and pull. They're easilly rebuilt. Instructions are on MUD, and there are youtube video's on the process as well.

I've got a set from a fourrunner.

You got to help me I am super new at this do the four runners work on the 60

You have solid axle hubs that have 30 spline and IFS hubs that use 27 spline. All the gaskets are interchangeable as far as I know. They usually come with a knuckle rebuild kit.

WHAT the fawk is wrong with the hubs you've got on there now ?

^^ What he said, when you break a Warn you'll come back to Aisin.:D

Got a hack job on the drivers side. I am replacing all the rotors, calipers, pads so I figured while I am in there I will replace the hubs as well so its fresh. I currently have the Aisin hubs. But I think only the passenger side is serviceable
