Some limp-wristed dumbass put way too many ugga duggas on those poor wheels.
Probably put 250lb ft. Zero fcuks given.
Went back to Koons Tysons Toyota today. Long story short, the service manager said I should purchase new center caps, email him the receipt and Koon's will reimburse me.

It was not an easy or quick process and involved management watching service bay tapes from yesterday to try to find evidence of someone damaging the center caps - they couldn't find any evidence of it. I will say the tech used a proper torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts. Took an hour of back and forth with 3 levels of service advisors/managers to convince them that they did in fact damage the center caps, rather than a magic leprechaun coming to my house in the dead of night on Monday with a small hammer to smack little marks in my center caps.

I'll try not to forget, once time and hassle is considered, there is really no such thing as a "free oil change" - even under warranty.

I've had limited experience with Alexandria Toyota, but they were good to me the two times I went in my 100.

I had a very bad oil change experience at Ourisman Fairfax.
Never again. Management even said the tech was, “an idiot”.
I had issues with their parts department. Called about a set of rotors to pick up after work on a Friday and they closed early before I got there after I said I was coming. Went back Saturday morning, got home and realized they were for 15” wheels and had to go back for the right ones

Hello, everyone. I'm reaching out to see if you all have any recommendations for shops that would do normal service on a first-gen 4runner. I am in Prince William County.
What are you looking to get done?

If anyone needs hydraulic cylinder work I would highly recommend Fair Hill Precision just south of Harrisonburg Va 4445 Lewis Byrd Rd Harrisonburg VA 22801
540–879-2373
They did a great job and were under budget and finished before they promised it.
They also have a decent machine shop

Has anyone used Shenandoah Corrosion Control LLC for lanolin/wax-based frame coatings?

Hmm... I could use a hydraulic top link. :hmm:

My Fit Rite top and tilt setup has served me well. They do a real good job spec'ing everything , based on measurements you provide.

A few of us have used Front Royal Corrosion Control, now known as Edinburg Corrosion Control.

I plan on going there in February. It's roughly $600 for a frame coating.

Thanks for confirming. It appears they're actually all the same? I reached out to them when they were just the Edinburg FB page...now this site lists the front royal and edinburg location at the bottom of the site, operating as Shenandoah Corrosion? Glad to know they're used by the forums.

Not sure if they were bought out, merged with another shop, or changed their name but I've heard they do great work. I have a friend of mine who is taking his 5th gen 4Runner there soon per the recommendations from here.

I'm actually the reason it snowed this winter here. I was fully planning on doing it in the fall but just kinda ran out of time and figured we'd ride our recent trends. WRONG. Looking forward to getting it done so I can stop spraying my frame down in the freezing cold every few days.

You bastard!

My neighbor bought a big 3 point snowblower for his tractor about ten years ago. We've been riding that mojo ever since. Then you came along...
