I have a 1993 LJ78 that had the factory fog light setup but the PO removed the lights after the plastic housings cracked. I thought it would be really easy to locate the harness connection point but so far no luck - I've looked all around the bumper, behind the grill, etc. Can anyone with the OEM harness provide a pic or details of where the plug might be located? Thanks in advance for your time and help!

(apologies for the blurry pic, traveling and this was the best I could find online)

So 77/78 series trucks do not align with 75 series. Quick way to confirm is look behind HVAC bezel and see if the two pin locking connector is flowing loose. If it is NOT, continue on.

Remove the fusebox and you'll see a two pin connector floating loosely, that is your wire. Make an extension harness to the dash and install the OEM switch.

The plugs in the engine bay are on the harness by the headlamps and an are a .250" locking housing. Those connectors can be had from Yazaki aftermarket unless you cut and re-terminate, your choice. Photos show the connector with my harness I made.

Last photos are the terminals you’re looking for in the engine bay. OEM Toyota on left and Yazaki aftermarket on right. Your plug would need to be the male side which wires to fog lamps.
