A quick pic using my wife's camera phone.:) OME medium lift w/ MT 1.5" spacers up front and 315 Duratracs. I'm really glad I went w/ 315's instead of 285's. Tires took little weight to balance and in fact only 2 needed 'em. The stock Michelins all had weights on 'em. Power loss was very minimal and it just looks right w/ the bigger tires.:D Steering feels a little "light" at highway speeds so Slee 3* bushings are on the way. Speedo is calibrated by way of Scangauge. Pretty accurate when comparing it w/ my stock '97 which BTW looks like a lowrider sitting next to the LX.:D I can't wait to get her lifted too.:)
arndog123 - your rig looks great! I have been thinking about putting the MT 1.5" on my 80 as well. I am also running the OME medium lift. Did you have to do any work to front drive shaft when you added the spacer? That's been my biggest concern about putting the spacer on my rig.

The spacers were already in before the lift to compensate for the bumper/winch combo. The only thing I did before lifting it was pump a little grease into the front shaft and joints. Haven't had a chance to flex it off road yet to check for rubbing/clearance issues. It's my wife's DD/mall rig so nothing hardcore.:) For some reason she finds it hard to give up her rig to let me drive it ever since the lift and new tires.:lol::D

Good to know that I wouldn't need to go out and get a new drve shaft right away. Yea, I had the same problem with my :princess: not wanting to give up the LC. I had to bribe her a new 4Runner SE before I got it back!:steer:

Side by side of the two???

Sorry for the pic quality. My wife can't find the charger for her camera so I've been using her camera phone.:frown: Anyway, here's a couple more pics.:)

My father in law that owns a couple Jeeps thought this was funny,

1. You settled my tire question... I'd been debating 285 vs 305 and had settled on 305's when I started debating 305's vs 315's... 315's it is.
2. Dumb question, but that's par for me: who is the vendor you are referring to on your spacers when you say "MT"?
3. That sticker is perfect - where did you get it?

MT = MetalTech

What suspension did you end up settling with and why? I'm looking to run a similar setup to what you have so any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The LX has OME mediums front/back w/ the MT 1.5" spacers up front. The '97 is nearly identical 'cept it has 850 heavies up front due to the heavier winch. Just waiting on Discount Tire to get more 315 Duratracs in stock. I got Slee 3* caster bushings waiting to be installed as soon as Landtank finishes making new templates for 'em. So far my :princess: and I are very happy w/ the firmer and more controlled ride on both 80's.:)
