They are custom made from a local stainless steel fabricator here, my rational for these is as follows:-

1) Waffle board holders.
2) Security for the side windows.
3) I stand on them when opening the Roof Top Tent, simplifies the process.

Still very much a work-in-progress but I'm happy how it's shaping up thus far.

Awesome, well they look great!

That is a great looking build! Well done. I'm curious about the waffle board. Have you been in a situation where you had to use them? If so, did they work well?

Waffle Boards are given here "that is" they are a build necessity, they do work very well for certain applications - in deep mud they can get you out of the problem only to find they weigh twice as much when you finally pluck them back out of the mud, storing them on the vehicle is always a challenge.

I also have a set of roll pads, I purchased these in Morocco, they are great in sand and very easy to store.

Very nice! Was the mud where you used the winch a regular road or were you doing some exploring?

It was an official (but old and less used) track inside of an Nationalpark. The Elephants had build their wellness mud hole there.

We dont see other cars and vehicle for many hours there - glad we had a winch ;)

I stumbled upon this thread and have been enjoying looking at everyone's builds, lots of inspiration!
Made me realise I haven't got any recent photos of my rig on my computer either.
Thought I'd share these just to give a peek.. This was 6 months ago halfway through painting and fitting wheel arches, there's no white paint anymore. All paintwork was done with aerosols.
Come a way since then.
