Here is my 01 Sequoia that has been SAS'ed with a Dana 60HP and a Sterling 10.5 axles from a 04 Ford F-350 . It is a work in progress, but it will be sweet when I am done:)

Oh ya, well aware of the effects of the salt. After our weekend during SnT 2009 on Pismo Beach, CA I spent $30 at the do -it -yourself car wash hitting the under carriage and every other crack needing a spray.

Salt's corrosive abilities pales in comparison to some of the newer road deicing chemicals.

here's another. Sandcruiser v2.1. Exploring a muddy, rutty road in Costa Rica, near Playa Avellanas.

Same fj40 as above, driving in Nosara, Costa Rica... this isn't a river crossing but just a puddle in the road.

Chris and Simon, great 60-series shots!

Chris, you back stateside yet? If not I might want a plate for our wall or some Hilux pieces!

Is that place that served the shaved ice still there? That shelf right there's such a cool little spot to kick back at while finishing one up and watching people pass by. Same with the square in San Miguel de Allende.

Might head down soon. There's another town with this huge open square with a bit of a hike up..really really narrow streets and it was 2 different levels with small boutiques alongside. For the life of me I can't remember it's name..not Salamanca and not Santiago de Queretaro..Mexico City?? :D

Okay, it's not really an expedition rig yet, but we did a little tour through Guyana, Brazil, and Venezuela with it. The planning for this summer is to start in Suriname (where we live), then Guyana, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Equador, Peru, Bolivia, and back via Brazil, crossing the Amazon river, then back to Guyana and Suriname. For the cruiser: must become more of an expedition rig. Needs a snorkel, lockers, bigger winch, roof tent, long range tank, hi-jack, and some small things.
Pictures are from Venezuela, Roraima Mountains. Friends rig is Hilux 1987, 2.4 turbo diesel, manual.

And two more. Oh, btw, our spare diesel jerrycans are motor boat tanks:D. The good thing about that, is that they're low. The bad thing is, that I didn't have the right stops, so the Cruiser got a diesel shower. Not good for the window rubbers:bang::wrench:
