I love the setup YotaTaco, i'm leaning along the lines of the truck bed trailer as well.

the trailer has undergone modifications since those last pics...
chopped the front for sideways parking of the bike and modded the tent set up

i've even cut the fenders deeper and traded the bike since these pics...but you get the idea

is it a bad thing when you want to give your trailer a "lift" so it matches your truck?
(i know, i know..lower center of gravity is better)

Here's my 62 build, still a work in progress.

Looks great! I'm hoping to someday get some practice welding and then build a similar rear bumper.

No worries, IMHO a threads only as worthy of it's contributors and their pics, so it is I who should be thanking all of you! :D
You guys over on the 120Board have me drooling and thinking of an '11 myself, I'd like to do a SR5 in either your Shoreline (Pearl) Blue or the Silver with the 2.5" kit and 285's. :D

Post pics everyone, Winter's past, hit the trails or hit the tools, or do some maintenance and post up!
Thanks for the welcome.

I'm waiting to finish out the cargo area and other interior additions (water tank, fridge/freezer, dual battery, etc.) before I swap out the suspension and tires. Don't rule out the TE, either: KDSS, rear locker, better approach/departure angle, multi-terrain select... worth the extra $$$ imo over the SR5.

More pics, as requested, after getting a new tent and installing the CB antenna.

My 80 has recently taken an Expedition style turn and I thought I would share.

For Christmas I finally got a lift on my Cruiser after wheeling stock for 5+ years.

So here is a fresh shot from January testing out the 2.5" Iron Man Lift

I wanted to be able to carry at least 1 Nato can but since I only have one swing out and no roof rack I needed to get a little creative. I had a felow Cruiser head weld up a basket and mount a 2" hitch receiver to it.

Next up was a sleeping platform/cargo drawer. The plan for this was to build a hlaf drawer so I could still use one of the third row seats but have a double sleeper.

And finally I made some Curtains to keep the sun out and provide privacy for the :princess: And screens to keep the bugs out.

Hey Mark (Bluetribal) I really dig the drawer/sleeping platform and keeping one of the third row seats. Not sure if you did or not - do you have a write up on the rear OEM cup holder? One thing I would change is the skull/bones on the fuel can. You need to replace it with a big dollar sign.

Here is my write-up on the Drawer system: https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/447869-cargo-drawer-sleeper.html

Cup Holder write-up: https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/472221-third-row-cup-holder.html

Yeah and maybe I need the Jesse James Tattoo on my gas can!

Here's a shot of our latest.. sold the AT Horizon and went to the SCT Teardrop.

I really love your setup!

I'm thinking of getting an AT Teardrop. Having had yours on several trips - is there anything you've notice (that may be of concern) to a potential buyer of one?

Does it tow well? Easy to backup?

Any feedback would be welcomed!

Again - Love the setup!

Cheers!

It actually tows very well. It's lighter than our Horizon was. The tongue weight is like half of what our Horizon was (but we had a bunch of gear in the nose box). I can actually pick this up by myself upfront if i need too. We have ours outfitted with the 20 gal. water tank under the rear as an option, makes it even easier to work with at the tongue. I like the nose box being diamond plate instead of AT's setup (powder coated box) because they get pitted from off highway travel easily. Other than that, it's just preference on suspension.

It actually tows very well..

Try out a loaner before pulling the trigger IMHO. Some folks (like me) can't handle the tighter quarters. Even though it's around the same square footage I felt claustrophobic in the solid walls over the pop-tent.
